I told you last week we would talk about some of the different procedures we will experience as we transition to the SEC. The first that comes to mind is football officiating. The most significant change is in the Big 12 the timer is seated in the press box. In the SEC, the backup official on the field runs the clock. This will require us to make some updates to our current timing system at Kyle Field which we will do in the off-season. The SEC also has a very sophisticated and complete protocol for reviewing all aspects of football officiating. The SEC coordinator of football officials monitors each SEC game from the command center at the headquarters in Birmingham, Ala. It is far and away the most impressive process I have ever seen. I’ve also heard they have had our games on their command center monitors the last few weeks.

I agree.

Those comments came from A&M's A.D.
As bad as SEC refs may seem to be, I promise Big 12-2-1+.5(-1?)(+1?) refs can give anyone a run for their money.
Two names: Bible, Christal.
Any Big 12-2-1+.5(-1?)(+1?) fan has a story on those two yahoos ...

Big 12 officials are a joke. Usually bad calls go both ways, it isn't an A&M conspiracy theory.
They are, in fact, terrible.

As are SEC officials. The fact that they are all monitored is kind of funny to me. I honestly think the SEC has the worst officiating in the country.

Not even close.
PAC 12 replay officials have been confirmed to be the worst.
At least SEC officials don't call holding on anyone.
Big 12 officials only call holding on tu and OU opponents.

OK. Look up the LSU/Alabama out of bounds call two years ago. The worst call I have ever seen in a game. You aggies don't know what you are talking about and saying things like

makes you look butthurt for losing all of those seasons in the big 12 and looking for an excuse. I'm sure after a few dismal years in the SEC you'll be convinced holding calls are only made against LSU and Alabama opponents.

A year from now, as a&m is struggling to win their first game in the SEC, they will be crying about being "outsiders" and not getting any calls. This is what aggies do.
The comment about holding called on Texas and ou opponents. Classic aggie!!

It's not just in games against us that it applies to.
Shouldn't you be calling your cable and satellite provider?

You can try to sidetrack and go there with me, or most UT fans, but most of us happen to agree with the wider opinions on LHN.

If ESPN's goal wasn't to force it on those who don't want it by requiring it as part of the basic package and would just leave it on the sports tier like the BTN does, there probably wouldn't be as many issues.

They're not that bad..they just get paid off for certain games.

Do UT fans honestly believe that A&M will literally win 0-1 games in the SEC per year, and turn into the SEC's version of Baylor?
Posted on 11/4/11 at 2:26 pm to texasaggie08
Since the Big 12 formed, Baylor has 19 total conference wins. To put it in perspective, in that same timeframe (1996-present):
Arkansas has 50 (avg. just over 3/year)
Kentucky has 35 (avg. just over 2/year)
Mississippi State has 35 (avg. just over 2/year)
Ole Miss has 41 (avg. just under 3/year)
South Carolina has 54 (avg. 3.5/year)
Vanderbilt has 18 (avg. just over 1/year)
Vanderbilt only needs 2 more conference wins to top Baylor...and it took Baylor's only non-losing season in conference (2010) to top Vanderbilt

I don't think A&M will get any better then say Moo State, but they're not going to be UK/Vandy.

You're a fricking idiot.

Really? Because if you actually look at who aTm played(Colorado, Kansas, K-State, Iowa State, Baylor) and who Moo State played(Vanderbilt,Kentucky) you'll notice something.

WTF are you talking about?

Whooaa now, I agree you're not a fricking idiot, but you can't put K-State with Vandy. K-State has had some big wins over the year.
