SI on LSU vs Stanford

Look about halfway down the page.

I disagree with Mandel's answer though. Nobody in Hawaii or its conference was in danger of being shocked, and everyone expects Hawaii fans to dress ”ethnically”. OTOH Stanford fans have never experienced anything like an LSU fan. Never. And no-one in the SEC would believe Stanford would beat LSU. Ever. Not even if DiNardo was coaching.

I would love to meet Stanford or Boise in the NCG. I just could not see our well tested and rested athletes losing to either team. Stranger things have happened though.

Would be quite interesting to see how Luck played against our D. That match- up would probably set a record for NFL scouts @ a bowl game. Luck may hire an agent @ the half n skip town!!

Stewart, after this weekend's upsets I have to beg you to help the people of Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge with your media influence. If there are multiple unbeaten teams at the end of the year please, please don't let Stanford play LSU or 'Bama in the national championship game. We cannot afford angry fans from Indianapolis or Miami descending upon our towns after Andrew Luck gets hurt in his first-ever game against a real defense.

Stanford or Boise
Stanford is easily 7-10 pts better than Boise. Assuming BSU makes a BCS game this year, it's opponent needs a take-no-prisoners, blow-em-out approach. BSU plays about one BCS conference team per year. That is not acceptable.

He almost always is. He is frequently negative on LSU, and every year says the SEC is down this year, and not the best conference. He's explained LSU and Bama's dominance this year by saying the other SEC teams are bad this year. I guess Penn St, OR, and WVU are bad this year too. Here to you, Stu

Non-SEC people hate the SEC because they have been so dominant. It's a jealousy factor. Same reason why people hate the Yankees and Cowboys and can't wait to see them fail.

You do realize that he's just taking the contrarian view to be controversial and get readership, don't you?
