No withdrawal notice from MU to Big 12

...,
Why no withdrawal from Missouri? A university source indicated that Monday was too soon to expect Chancellor Brady Deaton to work out several details with both the Big 12 and Southeastern Conference before formally completing the withdrawal process.

A) The B12 made and enticing offer that they want to consider.
B) They still haven't resolved the KC issue with the Govt figures putting pressure on them, they are a state school.
c) They are slow playing everyone.
I live in Jeff City and want nothing more than to see SEC football 30 minutes from here, I don't like this, either shite or get off the pot. I would say just take WVU but I don't want to wait 27 months to get to 14. I read today that Mizzou has waited so long that they will have to play in the B12 next year or face STIFF penalties.

The deadline for such things is October 1st, I believe. It's why Nebraska and Colorado waited so long to pack up and head out.

I guess if they have to wait a year anyway there isn't a big hurry, but I just want this done with.

I'd rather have someone geographically in the East. All of the prospective schools there offer much more than Mizzou does.

Who other than WVU is there to consider?

“The conference encouraged Missouri to stay in the Big 12,” Neinas added, referred to a statement to be released by the league on the Big 12 Board of Directors meeting on Monday in Dallas.

Unless you believe that an ACC team from North Carolina or Virginia can be had, Mizzou and WVU are the ONLY options that bring a new state...which is apparently a requirement.
I'm fine with WVU too, but hate the 27 month thing.
I still think Mizzou is coming, and soon. We had at least 5 Big 12 statement like this staying that they "hoped" A&M would say....2 days before the press conference we had idiots like Boone Pickens and Drayton McClain saying that we were staying.
But if Mizzou does not send the letter very soon, in the next few days, I'll have serious doubts.

It's time for Missouri to shite or get off of the pot.

Is there a harsher way to say "frick Off Mizzou?"

In the west, there are no better options for the SEC. It sucks, but deal with it.

I guess that's why most reports have Mizzou joining the East division? This is like a bad Aggie joke.

Here's an option - forget about an additional team and drop the divisions. Unbalanced schedule can go to cellar dwellers like Vandy, Ole Miss, Miss State, aTm and Mizzou. Top two teams meet in the championship.

Just say no to Mizzou. At first I wanted them, but no longer. Bring in someone that wants to be part of the SEC
Posted on 10/24/11 at 8:18 pm to Shaka Zulu
Shaka, dont be stupid. Oh right, saw your school.
This is a set up for the 16 teams and the Eastern alignment is temporary until then. Bama just wanted to keep Auburn out of the East.

This is you admitting that you were wrong:

This is you acting unnecessarily petulant about being wrong:

Next time, check the petulance, brah.

"Just say no to Mizzou. At first I wanted them, but no longer. Bring in someone that wants to be part of the SEC."
Nothing is saying Missouri doesn't want to be in the SEC. What we do know is the Big 12 is playing hardball and tried to get them to stay by offering a conference Network for 3rd tier rights. There have also supposedly been threats of lawsuits if MU leaves due to schools supposedly losing revenue for replacing Missouri on their schedules next year.
Link about new developments.
Edit to add: As an MU fan I say, Deaton needs to get off his butt and announce it soon. If this doesn't happen he wont be able to appease the Missouri fans at all. If the SEC is opening it's doors to Missouri there is no excuse for him to not walk through that door as quickly as possible.
