TM7's heisman hopes will survive or die with Alabama game.

If it's business as usual for him against UT and AU, November 5th is when we see if this actually has a chance of happening.
With the enormity of this game, I feel that if LSU wins (this is key), and TM7 can get a few tackles for loss, forces a fumble or two, and plays solid cover defense, he's very much in it. If he gets a pick and/or scores a TD, I think he's in the top 3 of candidates, if not the top. Make your mark on the big stage.
Wishful thinking?

He has to do so much more as a defensive player to win it, but if hes gonna do it he has to show out on the big stage. And there will be no bigger stage then November 5th.

Well, I've said all along that I think he needs to do more in the return game be in serious contention. But he hasn't, and I'm starting to see "Honey Badger Heisman" talk everywhere, even if it's just speculation. Just saying.

Personally, I think his chances of actually winning the award are slim to none. IF LSU runs the table, I could see him getting an invite to the ceremony. There is no doubt a HUGE performance against Bama on the national stage would really bolster his resume'.

No doubt, a couple of punt returns for TD along with his stellar defensive play would go a long way!

A key turnover gets him to NYC. He has to start breaking some serious records to win it, and luck and jones has to fall.

Forced fumbles. He has a legit shot. Flipping sophomore

I think he needs a solid game and a patented strip and recover in the 3rd or 4th quarter. He needs a play like the epic Chad Jones hit on the Bama QB in 2007.
He does that, get your popcorn ready.

All I really hope for is for him to be invited, honestly. That would be a huge honor.
If he manages to win the thing, hooollllyyyy shite.
It's going to take a true Heisman moment in the Alabama game for it to happen. I'm talking pick-6 in the 4th quarter, forced fumble/recovery at a key point, or some kind of effect in the return game. He can do it. McCarron isn't invincible, and if we can limit Richardson, their offense becomes way more prone to mistakes.

Strip and score and/or a PR for a TD wins him the heisman vs. Alabama.
Every heisman winner has a signature win.
Cam had that run against LSU last year.

This.
every college sport analyst has said that he needs this to be in NYC.

LSU will have to beat bama and TM7 will need to score in that game ,IMO, to have an outside shot.
The powers that be have all but gift wrapped it for LUCK already.

Exactly. He can have a great game and not get any headlines or big plays, that's the nature of a DB.
It's why Pat fell off last year. His play didn't diminish, just the big time plays.

The Heisman has effecitively become a QB/RB award. I hate to be Debbie Downer, but he doesn't have a real shot.
It shows a great deal of respect to even be in the conversation as a defensive player (like Suh) and I'm confident that he can go late first/early second round.

It will increase his chances for sure. If you think he is intimidated by Bama or if Bama's offense is just that good you got another thing coming. Honey badger loves the game and has balls made of steel. He laughs in the face of danger and eats QBs for breakfast. He is so fun to watch because you can tell he is having a blast out on the field.

Honey Badger will win that game himself.
He just takes what he wants.

2 TDs vs. BAMA with a heisman pose on the 2nd one FTW!

I think an invite to NYC is a success for TM7 and LSU. It would be a big deal.
