Most surreal Tiger Stadium moment

Early seventies, I was there with my dad. I don't remember the opponent. The PA guy announced that Nicaraguan dictator Anastasio Somoza was at the game and said, "let's give him a big Tiger Stadium Welcome!" The students booed.

If the P.A. guy actually referred to him as dictator then it really is surreal.

I wasn't there for that but it was devestating at home. Just devestating.
For me personally, I was on the field for a portion of Miami 1988 3-44
eta: as a "worker" lol, it was like a real hurricane had zipped right thru and you were left with the horrific aftermath

I think he said President, but I don't know. I was about eight years old

I've only been to a handful of Tiger games in Tiger Stadium but the most surreal would have to be when Skylar Green caught the Td pass from Matt Mauck against Georgia setting us up for the win. What a game that was.

I was gonna mention this game.
MIami comes on the field w/ their cheerleaders waving Hurricane flags and it seemed only a few minutes later that wicked storm came through. I remember thinking at the time this is too surreal.
Stadium emptied out pretty goo due to the heavy wind/rain, then the Miami football team did the rest.

And what did those liberal arse clowns get in return? Daniel Ortega!
Franco ... Pinochet ... Salazar ... Somoza - all fine Christian gentlemen.

it was unreal. LSU D made a great play on the first play of the game and boom it and the entire program seemed to go to shite all at the same time
the rain felt like bb's getting shot from the sky it was just freaky

LSU FSU 1982.
Raining oranges.
Fog creeping over the South Endzone stands like some ghostly hand then gently settling over the field in the second half.

Yep, at one point I just looked up at the lights seeing the wind push the rain around at lightning speed and thinking, this is hurricane like winds.
Look over to my right and see half the stands emptied. We finally had enough and decide to head for the tunnels only to find out that's where everybody is hanging out.
A good bit did not return either.
