Just watched an espn report that...
Oklahoma was the only school out of the nine that would wave their right to sue.
The others are willing to wave their right if Oklahoma commits to the conference.

Okalahoma Sooners = Okalahoma chickens

baylor wants confirmation the conference wont fall apart, simce ou is "next in line" to leave they want assurance of their commitment to the shitty conference. baylor was the only one who is PMSing at the moment

so your gonna sue your next door neighbor on the right if your next door neighbor on the left moves? see how stupid this sounds?
Posted on 9/8/11 at 12:40 am to Daigeaux
i know how stupid that sounds but thats what baylor is doing. had oklahoma not said anything last week about looking at other conferences this wouldnt be in disscussion but baylor is all pissed off because no one wants them so they have to attempt to block us using ill logic

The longer this goes on, the more and more obvious it is that the Big-12 is completely bat-shite dysfunctional and doomed to implode. Every team in that conference that can bail, should bail.

agreed, but baylor will throw one of their hissy fits and blame A&M, where the hell was all this last summer whennebraska and colorado left?
Posted on 9/8/11 at 12:55 am to redassag12
The Big-12 will collapse no matter what Baylor does, and Baylor's behavior in this is going to make a lot of conferences very wary of adding Baylor. They might end up an independent.

Jeez, this situation just gets more maddening by the moment, its like banging your head against a wall. Would Oklahoma accept staying in a weakened Big 12?
Posted on 9/8/11 at 1:02 am to Dtrain706
Hopefully, OU doesn't frick this up like they usually do when the world is watching.
Posted on 9/8/11 at 1:05 am to mark65mc
we might have to wait awhile.. baylor blackmailing ou, while ou is still talking to the PAC, which they need to bail ASAP and as soon as thats done we are in the clear and baylor will once again find out they are still baylor
Posted on 9/8/11 at 1:07 am to mark65mc
Exactly, and if they were somehow to cough this one up, would be worse than all their BCS bowl looses put together and then some.

baylor needs to just grow up, man up and take this one on the chin. Ann richards isnt here to save them this time. They all knew what this would boil down to before yesterday they had time to try to make themselves look better and talk around. It's not our fault they only have 18 wins in 16 years of Big XII conference play. Once they quit making excuses for themselves and taking action to improve themselves this would have never been an issue
Posted on 9/8/11 at 1:14 am to redassag12
Yep, instead they choose to ignore their on the field woes for so many years and not improve their facilities, salaries for coaches etc. They should be concentrated on other important matters than trying to hold up another school wanting out of the Big 12.
Posted on 9/8/11 at 1:19 am to SaintTiger00
They still wonder why they are and were never wanted
Posted on 9/8/11 at 1:24 am to redassag12
Exactly, and this move is proving that sentiment to the umpteenth degree. They better get use to playing teams like UCF, Memphis, UAB in Conference USA real soon...

Baylor is just worried about losing BCS conference status. Someone will make a deal with them, pay them off and allow them to be happy in CUSA.

You forget that these are Texas schools, which all have an inflated opinion of their own value. It will make such negotiations exceedingly difficult.

Big 12 = Titanic with no lifeboat left for Baylor.
Posted on 9/8/11 at 6:43 am to Sidewinder
They 'might' be able to win the CUSA. Baylor does need to realize who they are and where they stand in the world of college football. The ONLY time Baylor will ever play a game in the glorious Superdome will be when they play Tulane.
Baylor, you've been sucking on the tit long enough. Time to grow up and move on.
