Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Next time; when you're displaying your obvious debating skills, you might want to capitalize the first letter of the sentence used to call the other person an idiot.
Looking I'm not saying Lee is great, or Lee is terrible. I am saying he is unpredictable, but provides a boost to the passing game.

If he has to hand off the ball, he magically starts sucking as a QB? I forgot when having a running game actually hurt a quarterback.
It's an anomaly, sure, but it fits. When you look at the final drives of the Tenn and Fla games, he thrived in the "pass only" situation (granted he did have four downs to work with). However, if you look at his play earlier in those two games, or his play in the Auburn game, when he had to mix the run with the pass, he was ineffective at best.

The wonders of small sample sizes.

Look at his work as a whole, if you want. Either way you slice it, he's a below average QB.

Perhaps that was a result of him playing from the bench and having a little rust early in the games? Perhaps he was given a set of bad play calls that didn't work early in the game. Perhaps a receiver dropped a pass or someone missed a block.
The fact that Lee is a good passer should not change when he has to hand off. Its not like he actually has to do anything on rushing plays other than give the football to someone else and watch them.
as others have said: you are an idiot.

I haven't watched one fall practice, and I already know Mettenberger is better
This is the deal. JJ would have been our best option. Period. Why?
JL is lights out with a green jersey on. Something happens when it goes live. Guts, nerves, heart? I don't know. I do know he is agood kid and is our second best option. Why?
Mett is still learning. He will be a great QB for us IMO. Anyone know any players? Ask them what happened during the 2 min drill at the last scrimmage. Gonna be good, but not there yet.

perhaps you should hold out jusdgement til mid sept or early oct?
When you say things and try to pass them off as fact based soley on your opinion thats where the term "agenda" is appropriate.
You have an agenda.

Reasons why I think Lee should get the start against Oregon:
1. He played as well or better than Jefferson and Mettenberger in the scrimmages.
2. Fifth year senior that knows the offense.
3. Great attitude and team oriented leader.
Time will tell if Miles was wrong on this.

If anything, Lee showed us in his RS Frosh campaign exactly why Mettenberger shouldn't be the starter. What I'm saying is that the reason Lee failed in that season was that he hadn't been given enough time to grasp the offense, hadn't been exposed to SEC defenses and had to expand upon his overall maturation as a D-1 quarterback.
Thus, we have precedent here suggesting NOT to start Mett until he's proven to be capable of running the offense, more talented than Lee or not.

His on-field performance proves otherwise.

5. A known quantity. He may not be great, but we know just how average he is. Mett is still an unknown.

Some of you people slay me. JJ had what, 2 good games last year, and not a question of him starting or not. Give the guy a break. JJ wasn't much better.

I'll give you that. But we do know that Lee is a below average QB that fails in just about every opportunity he has been given. I don't care how long he's been at LSU, he doesn't deserve to be a starter. Give Mettenberger the same opportunity Lee was given his freshman year.

I don't get it, half the fanbase is acting like he was Micheal Vick out there, running around and making plays. Hell, all you have to do is watch the West Virginia game, and it all comes flooding back just how bad he usually was.
