...to the cowboy classic. They truly will be alone then! (Aside from the small amount of fans, who will also feel alone)

Wonder how much it costs for the band to travel. Surely the stoners of Eugene some have some kind of pot slush fund for this.

Info came from LSU director of bands, Roy King. Oregon isn't bringing their band because they won't start school by then, and it would be too hard to put the trip together. Especially such a distant trip.

They've had since September of last year to plan a way for at least a pep band to be there.

Must be a budget reason behind this.

Sorry if already discussed, but will LSU be bringing a pep band or the entire band?

I think Oregon is on quarters and not semesters. Classes probably dont start till the 3rd week of September

Probably because they all got caught driving over 110 MPH, on a suspended license, whilst smoking weed, in a car rented for them improperly by a university employee.

This is correct. In fact the band at games until school starts is generally just the kids that live locally and come to town for the games.

Yes, they did have a while to try to throw together a pep band, but in the end, they decided not to come at all.

LSU is bringing the full band, not a pep band.

But being on quarters helps the football team more. With school not in session the football team and coaches can be together for 40 hrs a week, correct? When school is in session they can onl be together 20hrs a week?

LSU starts classes the 21st so Les and the team can only spend 20 hrs a week together while Chip and the team can spend 40?

I think there is a difference in the amount of hours they can be together but I don't think it is as high as 40. Another advantage is not having any school until they are 3-4 games into the season.

I can vouch for Roy saying this.

No one in the stadium will be upset about them being there.
