So far I'm really disappointed by the trivia games and First Look.

Just got home from seeing it (I live in Eastern standard time btw)..

I was disappointed. I think they took too many liberties with the story and changed a few too many things in the story.

I give it a 6.5/10

I know it's a movie and blah blah blah (the book is always going to be better).... but watching DHp1... I had high hopes.

And yes...I know I will be in the minority here on what I posted above... but I honestly was disappointed with the movie as a whole.

I felt the first part had better structure, but this one was more entertaining. They really just got into it with this one. Wasn't as dramatic as I thought it would be in parts. In some ways it was almost too focused on Harry when there was a huge battle going on at Hogwarts. The aged character thing at the end was weird but overall a "feel good" touch. I enjoyed it, though. Probably the best of the series, but not by leaps and bounds. Sad to see it end.

side note: Ginny got fat and Hermione turned into a milf.

They had so many unintentional funny moments in that movie.

Also god damn Ginny fricking sucks.

Fantastic movie. It strayed in parts, but not in a bad way. They could have done without the ending. I'm sad to see the series end.

It was just great. I just greatly enjoyed it, especially "The Prince's Tale", which was done pretty perfectly. Could have certainly gone without the epilogue though. I'm going to bed, report more in the morning.

I really enjoyed it. And like I always say: I don't care how faithful a movie is to a book. A movie stands alone whether or not it's based on a book. That's just a general rule. I've never read the books. I'm just a casual Harry Potter fan who happens to be engaged to a diehard who drags me to opening night and bitches about every detail that clashes with the books so I'm constantly making this argument

As a casual non-reading fan, I thought this installment was the best of the series. I loved it. The worst entry was Half-Blood Prince IMO

This was just a fantastic conclusion to a great franchise. And I, like OML, loved the prince's tale. It was probably my single favorite part of the whole series.

The only real change I had a problem with in the film was the lack of Dumbledore's backstory. Had a slight qualm with not explaining if and why Lily had a falling out, but they fricked that up so much in the previous films that there was really no point in delving into it since it would have no emotional payoff like in the novels.

I enjoyed it. But this is the first time I've gone to the theater in a while, and I'm reminded why I stopped going.

Dear morons, stop clapping. The actors on the screen can't hear you. You're applauding a wall.

Then why did you go to a midnight showing? Seriously, that is idiotic. Also, people don't clap during the majority of movies.

I was pretty disappointed. They took to many liberties and left out some big stuff(Dumbledore's entire history?). I would definitely just have rathered they followed the book to a T. Their best selling for a reason.
