Bingo....that's all he was saying......enjoy it tonight or for a few days or months....whatever....one day you will wake up and it won't matter...you will be you and I will be me.....I'm good with me....in your heart of hearts, are you good with you.....

Anyway, I'm not sure what some people in this thread don't get about other people not liking Lebron. FWIW, I'm not one of the Lebron haters who live and die by his successes and failures. I don't like the guy. I won't lie about that, but I'm not obsessed like some. The guy went on national tv to "take his talents to South Beach" (I understand some will say he wasn't really part of it and did it for charity and all that, but that's not how it was perceived. It was perceived as selfish and big-headed.) He has the tattoos proclaiming his greatness. He's cocky. He comes off as a douche, especially with comments like last night. These are just a few things people don't like about him. And before anyone says it, I know some of these things are misconstrued and possibly not even fair, but that's how he is seen. How can you not see why some people can't stand the guy?

I don't really identify as a "Lebron hater", but I'm not very fond of what professional sports and mainly NBA basketball has become with the emphasis on individual play, no traveling, no palming, and driving on every play. Lebron obviously has the tools to turn into a generational great player. For whatever reason the situation hasn't presented itself yet in his career for him to be the guy so many either want or expect him to be. I think Magic was right last night when he said that if Lebron/Wade want to develop the Heat into the powerhouse champions people expect they need to put in some serious time this summer working on playing better together. Lebron and Wade were probably the two best individual talents on the floor in the finals, yet Dirk and some of the Dallas players were much better fits for their system and team. Everything with Miami looked awkward and forced. James needs to work on playing well together with Wade when he doesn't have the ball in his hands. He could put in long hours all summer working on coming off pick and rolls, moving without the ball, etc. Lebron has plenty of time to make himself into a champion yet if he's willing to work for it. Shaq, Jordan, and many other greats had failures in their early playoff and finals attempts also.

X 9999999999999999999999999 (hyperbole)

Pretty much what I've been saying. I really liked LeBron his first 2 years in the NBA, then I started noticing what he was saying, how he was acting, etc...

I'm sure I have the reputation as a LeBron hater on this board, but I never deny he's great (on the court) and I don't post shite about delonte west or Rashard Lewis.

It is really hard for any reasonable person to like him, if not impossible.

Anyone who thinks LeBron is not talking about money is really grasping at straws trying to like him. How many of you read that quote and it never entered your mind that he may be talking about money? Honestly

His statement was definatly about that. I dont know why James apologists continue to tell others what his douche bag statements REALLY mean

I didn't perceive it that way. I took it to mean that the haters like yourself need to get a life and deal with their own problems instead of obsessing over his problems and reveling in his failures.

This thread has certainly taken a melodramatic turn.

I have a life, a good one and I wouldnt change to his for anything. Mostly because I would hate to go through life with an 80 IQ. Money doesnt solve dumb. Im also grateful that my children arent bastards, my mother wasnt a whore, and my girlfriend/wife isnt fricking around.

Well I woke up today and not unsurprisingly, I am not LeBron James. However, I did notice a funny little quirk. We do share a similarity in that neither of us has a NBA Championship on our resume.

so while he can lord over the average Joe with his wonderful life based on getting 90 million dollars when he was 18 (and before he was drafted) and all the greatness he gets to have, he's still has to feel the pain of knowing he just wasn't good enough this year despite all the hype.

Not that big a deal

I doubt it's about the finances nearly as much as some are making it out to be

Yet another example of his total arrogance. That's an awesome way to treat fans of the NBA, tell them how much better you are than them. It's shite like this that has diminshed the NBA viewership over the last 10 years. People have literally just gotten tired of the arrogance of these thugs and so called superstars and it has hurt the numbers. I dont know what the ratings for the Finals this year compared to back in the day, and to be honest, its not really jermaine, but the amount of people that actually watch the regular season has plumetted to dismal numbers.

Game 6 last night got like a 15 rating... That's double the World Series fwiw... So obviously ratings are up

Other people reveling in his failures "comes with the territory"? I'm pretty sure that LeBron's dealing with his own failures and the feeling that he let his teammates down is pretty much all that he cares about.
