Graduation Dinner In New Orleans

I'm graduating in 4 weeks with my MBA and my parents are driving in to NOLA to take me out to dinner. My father likes to go to the best restaurant in every city he visits, so I don't want to disappoint him.
Personally, I am a big fan of the John Besh restaurants. I was strongly considering one of them, but I am open to any great suggestions.
Finally, he's been to a few places before such as Commander's Palace, Drago's, Ralph's on the Park and Palace Cafe. So we are looking for something new. TIA

I just can't make a list without offering a few options outside of the FQ or CBD.
