NCAA opening round game playing for the #16 seed

After we win 4 straight this weekend,our best chance is if we play in the opening round game going for the last #16 seed. The #1 seeds are pretty weak this year so the bracket should set up favorably.

WTF??? If LSU wins the tourney, they won't play in the playin game. They'll probably be a 14 or 15 seed.

any speculation on the Region we would be in? I want to start pricing hotels.

I don't think that's the case. We'll still have a losing record after the SEC tournament and we play in the worst division in college basketball. That should set us up for a #16 against hopefully Kansas or Notre Dame in the New Orleans region.

Personally I hope we lose to Vanderbilt Thursday. Playing in the NCAA tourney would NOT be pretty.

He wasn't "WTFin" the seeding, he was "WTFin" the play-in game.
If LSU were to win the SEC tournament, they are automatically in the NCAA tourney field, no play-in game necessary. In that case, yes we would be a 13-16 seed most likely, but he wasn't mocking the seeding. He was mocking the implication that we somehow could win the SEC tourney and still not be an automatic qualifier for the big tourney.
