Beat Tyler 84-78 for whoever is interested.
ETA: He had 20 points on 6 of 8 shooting, 8 of 12 from the free throw line.

I don't know the latest, but I've seen tweets that LSU coach(es) are at the Region XIV tournament today. So, I assume the press is still on.

I'll be at the Blinn-San Jacinto round 2 game in Tyler on Saturday, so I'll give a report afterward on what Talley's game looks like. I've seen Blinn play a couple of times earlier this season, but I honestly didn't focus on him because I wasn't aware that LSU was interested. Both of the Blinn guards can put up some points in a hurry, but the team overall (including them) has been very inconsistent, especially on the defensive end.

Did he have a good game and do you think he would help us

From what I heard (I didn't attend), he had about an average game (for him this year). 20 points, 8 of 12 from the line, 6 or so rebounds. I personally think he would be a big help to LSU next year. I will be at Blinn's game tomorrow, so I'll get a better feel for how he looks.

For those who don't know, Talley played D-I ball as a freshman('09-'10)at Binghampton and was the American East Conference freshman of the year. Transferred out along with some other players last summer due to turmoil within the program. He is about 6'5" and a very good-looking athlete who has the ball skills to play at the one or two. He does both for BJC.

he wasn't one of the ones in the drug dealing ring was he?

No. He was one of the seven players not dismissed for some reason during that season. Basically, he carried the team as a freshmen, won FOY honors for the league and left the program partially for the assumption that the NC2a was soon going to crackdown on the program. The guys who got dropped were allegedly for drug use, drug dealing, academic fraud, play for pay, etc. Talley was clean as far as I've been able to discern.

And then what happened with Talley at the tournament?

I watched Blinn lose to San Jac last Saturday at the Region XIV tournament. Talley had what I feel was a below average game. He had several bad turnovers and missed some short range jumpers that should have been automatic. He did have 3 or 4 ridiculous plays though. One was a shot he made from about a foot inside the 3 point line (almost on the baseline) where he got nothing but net and got the foul. I think he's a good player. San Jac has a really good team, and they did all they could to stay in his face all game. I still think he would be a good addition for LSU.

Not shabby, but below average for him I guess is what I was trying to say. His points were overshadowed by the mistakes (and he did average over 20 for the season).
