How to use Rasco?

If LSU gets Rasco on NSD does he get looked at as a linebacker or is he strictly a defensive end?
According to Scout he is 6'3" 250, which is great size, and runs a 4.6 40. After watching some film on him I noticed that he uses his hands really well and seems to shed off blockers rather quickly, which is a must to play linebacker. He is also a very aggressive and "downhill" type football player who seems to always find the ball. I think he would make a great MLB prospect and, with Sheppard leaving and the depth we have at DE, I wonder if the coaches will consider this. I don't know if he played some linebacker in high school, so I don't know how well he can play in pass coverage, but a MLB should never have to drop back more than 10 yards.
I just want to get everyone's opinion on this and also information on how well he would do at linebacker from people who have seen him play live a few times. I am not a coach but I did play linebacker in college and I think it would be a good idea to consider.
P.S. this is my first post so take it easy, Geaux Tigers!

If he has the hips to cover I'm all for trying him out at LB. However, you can NEVER have too many pass rushers.

My bad it's my first Topic I start

I have wondered this myself, since the Tigers seem to have far more depth at DL and the need is much greater at LB. From what anyone knows, does Rasco insist on playing defensive end or is he willing to play linebacker?

But it does happen. I like the idea of him at the Mike tbh.

I know Rasco is fast out of the blocks against an OT but what is his open field speed like? Can he intercept angles keep up with Tight Ends etc.

Scout says he runs a 4.6, if that is true then that is plenty fast enough. He will learn route concepts in meetings and also with film. Could be interesting with Chavis coaching him up.

Roscoe would be a terror on both sides of the ball. I don't know if they could get any pants to stay on him though. It would be just as dangerous for the LSU players and referees as it would for the opposing players if he ever got on the field, and he decided to leave the field the fence isn't high enough to stop him from eating on some fans too. I don't think it would be a good idea to let Mike VI play football.

I sit in the 4th row in the north endzone.
I worry about this every game.

Rasco has said he would like to play DE. It was the same with the Jones brother who changed his name to something like Rehim Alem. He made 15 takles as a MLB in the TX vs LA all-star game but chose to play DE at LSU.

I think Rasco would be a good linebacker been timed 4.58 to 4.66 in 40. Good athletic also plays basketball with 31" vertical. Runs well in open field he meets that sec big lb mold. Brady James type.

Ya how did that work out for Alem. He was horrible at DE.

LB, I actually like the idea. IF he really is that fast, he could be a beast.

Watching his film 90% of the time he doesn't have to sprint to catch someone and make the tackle. When he does sprint he's running down running backs from behind.

Call me picky or whatever but edit your thread title. His name is Rasco. I know it's silly but he's likely a future LSU Tiger and we can at least get one of our own's name correct.
Not being harsh, trying to be helpful. This is a pet peeve of mine but I won't call anyone stupid for mis-spelling like some do.
