He has always wanted to be a HC and LSU would offer $4 M plus...

The timing would be right as well....

Well, didn't he turn down 4 mill from Vandy?

My biggest concern is keeping the staff that we have in place.

Whoever comes in, I don't want them to touch the coaching staff except Stud and Crowton. Malzhan would be one that I think would do just that.

One thing I would love about a Malzhan hire is that he wouldn't be the type that would bring in his own coaching staff

He makes 1 million and is OC. Why in the world would LSU HAVE to offer him 4 million?

Yea he turned down 4mil at Vandy but that was in conjunction with a patent for an instrument for non-intrusive circumcisions. They weren't paying anyone 4 mil to coach football.

I would take Mullen first, but I agree. I can almost here the whole sec craping their pants in unison.

makes no sense!! Bad hire no head coaching expirience. Do you feel comortable handing over the reins of the program to him? I think Mullen would be a much better hire and keep chavis as DC

Agree, 2.3 with incentives or stay at Auburn. I do think Gus will be on the short list.

That is retarded. He hasn't even been out of the high school level that long.

When did Gerry Faust coach in the national championship again?

I forgot what year that was.

No fricking way he gets 4 mil. Not happening. Vandy could turn out to be a career killer, hence the high dollar contract. Lsu should not have to do that to hire a coordinator for HC

That's pretty accurate. I think if we were to have to take Mullen, a shitstorm would ensue. Remember the shitfit Ole Miss threw when they lost Ross Perot? Arkansas was a different situation entirely. We would catch hell.
