Trent made the NCAA Tournament in 3 of his 4 years at Stanford.

That, he did. His track record also says that he'll give you one very good season and a hover just above .500 the other years. History says Trent peaked in his first season here. Nothing about this coach has me excited for the future of LSU basketball.

Also took Nevada to the Sweet 16. Has been conference coach of the year in 3 different leagues. The "he can't coach" bs is just that. All five of the teams that have beaten LSU are favored to win their leagues which LSU is most definitely not expected to do. Mid-major in basketball is a totally different animal than football. Just ask Davidson, George Mason and Butler. People who don't get this really are not astute college basketball followers. The SEC is probably only around 10th among basketball conferences this year. NT is capable of beating practically every team in the SEC this year and will probably reach or break the 24 wins they had a year ago.
