Elleshoe you called me a liar, you keep mentioning top 150 kids none of these players are in the top 20 in the country.

one kid is ranked 38th by rivals and 23 by espn
the others are way down the list look at ark and ala this year not to mention ga and fla

I think tj can coach but must recruit harder.

Elles we got beat by nichols and witchata state!

I did not lie about aau, i am not a liar.

Marcus Thornton made TJ look like a genius.

I'm not happy right now, but please no comparisons to Arkansas or Alabama. They are in as bad or worse shape than we are.

Recruited, Trent did a good job at Nevada and deserves his props for it. However he gets way too much credit for his time at Stanford. They went 30-2 the year before he became head coach and had just 1 double digit loss season the 10 years before he became the coach. They had 3 straight double digit loss seasons after he took over.

Brady recruited Fazekas pretty hard and I think it came down to LSU and Nevada.

Okay so are you saying TJ has recruited one kid that plays in the NBA? That is not saying much if it is true. His recruiting here is not very good up to this point. Malcolm White is not very good, Stringer did not get recruited by anyone but us. Ralston Turner looks like he can play, but in your third year we should be alot better talent wise than we are.

Amazing that people are defending him as being a good coach for what he did in the past and yet when it comes to football, alot of these same people think Crowton sucks and he actually has a nc ring.

There is no excuse whatsoever, to get absolutely destroyed by North Texas in the PMAC.

To the OP's question, I have been saying that for the last couple of weeks. I was a freshman at LSU in 1992 and remember all too well the Curley years. Last year and this year for basketball feels very much like it did for LSU football in the early 90's. We couldn't even beat Southern Miss or Colorado State (in Tiger Stadium).

And the people that took up for Curley kept saying the same excuses they're saying about TJ - team is young, previous coach (Archer) left the program in such bad shape it's taking a while, be patient, quit being spoiled and expecting unreal things to happen, blah blah blah.

All I can say is I hope we learned our lesson because if not, look for the darkest and most embarassing decade of LSU basketball.

We all know that Curley was nothing without Brett Favre. Has a TJ team that did not include 7'0" tall twins ever do anything to put him in the category of an above average coach?

If T.J. had not gradually built a winner...getting better each year, at Nevada I might tend to agree with your analogy after that garbage put on the court last night.

I still think T.J. is building toward something good here. He really tore it down to build it back up.

Patience is not a virtue of the sports fanatic and never will be.

I'm not quite in agreement with the extreme he's gone to in some ways in the process of building a program.

And nothing excuses that pitiful result last night. He and the team earned whatever they get for that. Have at 'em.

No do you see we have 2 freshman as leading scorers....We have a 7 foot kid that has to sit out a year and will contribute right away next year...Do you not see we have a top 50 recruit and another recruit who would have been if he didn't blow out his knee his junior year...if it is like this next year and then the following then I say get rid of Trent....But how would you like to follow up a absolute moron and rebuild a program...Although I will admit I am rather disapointed in M White

How would you like to inherit a program with four straight losing seasons, one true major college player returning, under NCAA investigation leading to draconian sanctions.

Dude, give it up, he's gone, defend or crucify TJ, that's it. No matter what happens with TJ, Brady deserved to go, and needed to.

Although I think he got much more criticism than he deserved, it was time for Brady to go.

I have defended TJ like the other basketball fans on here, but last night and this season so far has been awful. Don't give me the excuse that we are very young. Even a very young team can have some sort of excution on offense, or at least a plan besides Stringer and Turner forcing shots. I'm not bashing those guys though, that literally is our only offensive game plan it seems. I'm patient with the program, but there has got to be improvement.
