What Patrick was at CB Avery can definitely be at WR.

Either yes or no.

He could be a very good player and still have less impact than his brother. So no would be my answer.

Avery Johnson received verbal offers from Florida, LSU, Miami, Florida State, Alabama, Ohio State, etc...
After his sophmore season.
He slayed the "Black Mamba"

I don't think it's possible for him to have the same degree of an impact because of his position, really. PP was great not only because of what happened when QBs tried to force the ball into the WR he was covering, but because a lot of time, he had a deterrent effect.
Avery's impact is going to have to be as much felt (if not more) in the blocking scheme for running plays and screens than it will be in the passing game. I'm not familiar enough with his measurables and his technique to know how well he'll fill this role, and that's what would limit his impact on the team as opposed to Randle, Boone, etc., who have had time under Moffitt.
