...I thought did a pretty good job. The Richardson TD was the only call that I thought was questionable that could have made a difference. I kind of thought his hip may have been down before he extended the ball but it was probably too close to overturn the ruling on the field. It didn't amke a difference anyway and I thought the game was called pretty good.
It's been a remarkable year for LSU from a ref perspective. Auburn and Bama were pretty much straight-up officiated. First time since '03 I can recall that happening. Richardson was close, but either way, it was not a bad call.

Considering we usually get screwed against bama and AU, the 2 games this year were fairly well officiated. The standing over the ball and a few questionable calls in our favor in the AU game being the only exceptions.

I agree with you. I think that it was the best called game that I have seen in the SEC in a while.

that on-side kick BS vs UNC could have cost us the game

Its only a horse collar if you pull him down. The Bama player grabbed the collar, jumped on his back and rode him down forward. Not a horsecollar at all

one more time...there is no horse collar in college football but the ref can call a personal foul if he chooses to

Agree with the OP that the refs did a good job yesterday. I thought the Richardson play was a TD. It was very close, but it appeared to me that it was a TD.

They missed Ingram taunting the LSU crowd after his touchdown.

the delay of game after the first down was seemed like sure bullshite. everyone in the stadium was asking what the frick. it seemed almost certainly like they didnt reset the clock properly. im not certain of the rules but im sure someone here can help me out with that one:

after a first down there are 40 seconds on the playclock right? and does that not start after the ball is set?

if both of those are indeed correct then that call was horseshite.

that was probably the only real call that i had a problem with. i didnt think richardson got in the endzone either but i was in the stands so its hard to tell

The PI mentioned was Simon breaking up a 3rd down pass to Julio. Def a physical play but close enough to get a no call.

The defense has the right to substitute if the offense does. LSU not only brought in a different package late, but also changed QBs . After the substitution the umpire can stand over the ball until the defense is ready. Having said that, something will be done in the offseason about this rule. By definition, a defense could cause a delay on the offense after most substitutions.
