I don't think that I have heard anyone say that JL is THE ANSWER. What is clear to many of us on this board is that (1) we have two quarterbacks who are not entirely up to SEC standards, but (2) JL is the better of the two QBs and gives us the best chance to win games. Frankly, JL could be a reasonable SEC quarterback, but he has not really been given much of a chance. He needs to be given the ball to start a game and see what he can do in terms of getting into a passing rhythm.
The inconsistencies with JL have to be laid at the feet of our offensive coordinator. JL is not a running quarterback like JJ, but that doesn't mean he can't manage an offense that mixes up the run and pass. Whose fault is it that most of his snaps were passes? He also needs to be permitted to look down the field for medium-length passes (10-20 yards) instead of throwing only predicatable screens to wideouts and passes where the wideouts run across the middle of the field about 3-5 yards past the line of scrimmage. I suspect that Lee can can consistently hit the kinds of passes that JJ threw for an interception on Saturday.
