There would be less hitting and more arm tackling. Probably more stitches, and less knee problems. If the NFL was serious about injuries, they would revisit the whole pad issue. Pads are basically making it easier to become more violent.

The NFL knows the fan loves the violence of the game and will do as little as possible to decrease it. I don't advocate any changes to be honest. Its a violent game where athletes have finally tested the limits of the body to handle the stresses they put on it. People pay to see just that.

Yeah, this kind of goes against my argument but that hit on Deshean was a clean hit. At the same time it was still very disturbing to watch. The guy from Rugters looked like he just had his head down. Someone at that level should know how to tackle by now but I see players do it every weekend.
