yeah, poor Crowton just needs a QB.

c'mon. This is Crowton's 4th season. He has major influence on who we recruit and bring in at QB.

And he has *all* the influence on the development of those QBs and how to tailor the offense for them.

Up until the last 2 weeks, he has failed spectacularly and miserably since Flynn used up his eligibility.

So, yes, I still am not a believer in GC. Basically, he has to turn around his trends that have followed him everywhere to show he's still the right guy to lead LSU's offense.

1. I just don't see the player development that we should be seeing with our offensive players under Crowton:

- JJ has gotton worse since his freshman year. His freshman year he threw some nice deep balls, now everything deep is overthrown.

- JL still throws the ball up for grabs too often 2 years later (though it does appear watching what opposing defenses are doing is helping him & JJ with their decision making)

- While our receivers are good at running after short completions, they all seem to be poor route runners especially on 3rd down when they run routes just short of the first down marker.

2. He is too stubborn about his offensive philosophy. He does not cater his offense to the skills of his players. It's just a constant square peg in round hole offense. LSU can do much better at the position.

We have Lee who seems to be doing well when given the opportunity. It seemed to most that he would never make it after 08 but he was a freshman QB in a wide open offense. If anything, you can say Crowton was expecting too much of him. I'd go with that.

Sorry, this simply is not true based on information I'd bet anything on. Miles determines what QB goes in the game and when. Crowton makes suggestions but has been overridden by LM many times this year when GC wanted JL in the game. However, to see GC's offense, review tape of when JL is in the game. Put the ball in playmakers' hands using almost all of the field.

Basically, it seems as though GC's offenses have put up points and moved the ball other than when JJ has been at the QB spot. JMO.

p.s. Regardless I don't look for GC to be back next year even if Miles wanted him to stay, which I don't think is the case but that I do not know for sure. Gonzales is a toss up I believe at this point on whether he returns or not. Verdict still out on that I guess.
