yeah, that's exactly what we need.. for our offensive coordinator to not be able to see what's going on.

might as well hoodwink him while we're at it.

am i the only one who thinks that whole business is completely retarded?

No i think it would be a change of pace. Apparently seeing the whole field doesn't help now anyway!

Our QBs need coaching. They cant get it when their coach isnt there.

Have one of the assistants in the booth to tell GC what the D is doing.

granted our ******* sucks with him in the box. might as well not make it any worse, which might not be altogether possible but still.

Does Gonzales stay on the field or does he go up to the press box?

Right our QB's need to have the OC look at them and tell them "what are you seeing"...get the look in their eyes and see how they are handling things. A phone call to the side line does not do it. Maybe for a payton manning or drew brees but not for JJ or JL after the last two years of drama.

I think Gonzales stays on the field.

I think any change would be an improvement at this point. The quarterbacks could benefit from face to face time w Crowton

Crowton has had 3 years to do something with JJ and if anything JJ has regressed. What makes anyone think Crowton on the sideline can make a difference in the game?

If anything Crowton on the sideline would put he and Les's interaction out there for all the fans to see.

I took it to mean that Crowton on the field would mean no more playcalling... he would just be "working with his QBs."

But I'm probably being optimistic.

I don't get it either. Do people honestly believe the physical location of our offensive coordinator is what ails the offense??? Nonsense.

Is this what you people calling for this think:
"If only JJ could talk to Gary face to face after a 3 & out things would be very different"
What a boondoggle.

I will be very interested to see if he is still on the field this Saturday and if there is a huge difference in the play calling. Someone(please don't laugh or bash me)told me that he will be calling the plays this week.

CROWTON COULD MOVE TO FIELD: The coaching staff has discussed the possibility of offensive coordinator Gary Crowton moving from the press box to the field, although no decision has been made.

Miles said the move would be for the benefit of the quarterbacks, not because of communication issues.

"The issue is ... making sure the quarterbacks get the information and have somebody to visit with immediately," Miles said. "They go to the phones, and that's certainly
enough. Could it be better? Certainly."

The advantage of the plays coming down from the press box is that the offensive coordinator can see the entire field.

"You know within the series what the defensive changes are," Miles said. "It becomes so much easier to pick the play and know what you're expecting."
