Going forward, it appears we will probably bring JJ into the game every now and then to give the defense a different look. I think its going to be dreadfully predictable that an option run is coming when JJ enters the game. I don't like this. Plus, JJ really isn't a great runner and I'd much rather give the ball to Ridley (who is a good runner). Miles seemed to dismiss the predictability of occasionally bringing in JJ when asked about it today.

Miles has JJ above everyone, and above the team, and even above his own best interests. It is inexplicable and undeniable.

It's not just Miles, there were people defending JJ up until Saturday now there are only a few. He has been bad all season not just last week.

The problem is when you have 2 QB's you usually have_______. Expect a bunch of false-start penalties, too.

i agree 1000% and i heard miles dismiss the predictability thing today. i disagree completely with his assessment. the same with our "personnel groupings". it doesn't take much genius to chart plays with certain groupings and prepare your team for the type of plays each grouping runs. computers make this easy. i was a baseball player and we charter every damn pitch a pitcher made with every damn count. you chart batters also to determine their weaknesses (and strenghts). crowton (and miles has bought in?) prides himself in multiplicity (new miles word) but in reality i think multiplicity equals predictibility. bringing in JJ at the goal line; i call bull shite on that.

To me, part of the problem with this offense is that we telegraph everything by personnel. Instead of subbing Lee and Jefferson, have Lee split wide and let Shep run a wildcat (just like everyone else does). When Jefferson came in the game to sub for Lee, who thought the next play was a pass?

Subbing QBs by situation brings to mind comments Miles made in his presser about bringing JJ in the game inside the 5 yd line. Miles thought the situation better suited JJ. Did he not realize how ineffective we had been up to that point in the red zone WITH JJ at QB? The normal Tiger red zone FG would not have won the game for us.

he needs to bring JJ in from time to time to keep him somewhat fresh. Had he done this with Lee at the beginning of the season, Lee may not be as rusty as he appeared the other day.
