Myth- What have you done to lose the weight. Any certain diet plan/workout routine?
When I started, I felt absolutely horrible. With the weight and blood pressure doing household chores exhausted me. So I realized I needed to get to work on the problem.
I started with Atkins for the first month in March and lost about 19 pounds. Atkins doesn't pay too much attention to calories which I think is a bit BS so I kept it under 1500 calories.
I got a bit lazy and started adding carbs because I couldn't find the right meals to eat that were easy to cook. Also moved out of Atkins since I did cheat a few times and that knocks you out of Ketosis so I decided it was just too hard to keep doing Atkins and occasionally going out to dinner one or twice a month.
I still lost weight but not as fast.
The chart of my weight loss was a pretty slope down until july. In July I had a bit of a breakdown and probably cheated 7 times. 4 in one week. Normally I would have quit at this point but I got back up on the horse and started to lose again.
But not as fast. In July August and September I lost about 26 pounds, although a big chunk of that was in the last 10 days (9 pounds).
I had two very long 8 day plateaus with zero weight loss and no cheating, so on the 21st I went back to straight up Atkins with 1200 calories a day and I have lost 9 pounds since I did that.
My main goal is under 1500 calories a day but I am usually around 1300.
As I said when I started, I felt like crap so I just couldn't do any exercise. It has taken until my last visit to the doctor a month ago, for them to get the optimal dosage and meds for my blood pressure. Just went yesterday and it was 120 over 80, so they finally have me where I need to be.
I don't know if it is the cooler weather, but I have felt energetic for the first time in years, so I started walking on Sunday and also started doing 5 sets of crunches a day.
So maybe I finally hit a number where my body felt good with the blood pressure finally under control.
My biggest tip is for people not to toss in the towel when they have a few bad days of eating or weight gain. That is what I always did. And what I did in July when I had a few Taco Bell incidents.
Also, when I go out with friends or family, I don't limit myself. I also don't go crazy, but I eat what I want. One bad meal every 10 or so days will not wreck your diet as long as you keep it to 1 in 10 days.
I know....TLDR but he asked.

Are you doing a lot of cardio/weight training on top of that to lose?
At the same time as I worry about eating to many calories/day, I also worry about not eating enough. I heard that eating to few cals can deter weight loss as well. You haven't had any issues with this?
