A lot like Miss. St. Not much passing, good option team. Except, WVU's defense isn't as good if you ask me.

they look small. have a few playmakers but are not used to playing top caliber defenses. they could get up for the one tough game on thier schedule and compete for a while. i am hoping lsu shows them what a real sec team looks like.

maryland is absolute garbage. i watched them play against navy and both teams were horrible. maryland was 2-10 last year and are not any better this year.

stop devine and the run and make them pass to the ball hawks we have in the defensive back and we can take another W

They are a great running team, they will get their yards vs LSU. LSU needs to get an early lead and force West Virginia into catch up mode making them pass. That will allow the front 4 to get to their QB and grab some sacks.
Their offensive line may not be as good as Mississippi States but they are good at what they do best which is run blocking.

LOL, Geno Smith was 19-29 for 268 yards and 4 tds yesterday against Maryland. He has had big days every game this year.

Noel Devine ran for 131 yards (has had 100 yards every game this year). Ryan Clarke added another 65 yards.

We are very balanced on offense. The major concern with WVU is our offensive line, but they played very well yesterday. However, we havent played a defense in LSU's universe yet this year.

Defense is a 3-3-5. It is generally a bend but dont break defense, although they did get after it for 8 sacks yesterday. Big concern on defense is that our best CB, Brandon Hogan, is suspended for a DUI. Dont know if he will be back for LSU or not. Also, our best LB, Pat Lazear, is out with a bone bruise. All indications are that he will not play at LSU. His backup Anthony Leonard has filled in very well, however.

their oline is small and they build up their run stats against jokes of a defense. look at their schedule, the big east is garbage. i think they may break a few good runs, but i think our dline can manhandle their oline. and by the way, yesterday, their oline was worn out with about 5 minutes left in the second quarter.

Devine is ligit and could start for LSU for certain over ridley. He is quick to the hole and will pop it outside in a heartbeat. We have to be faster on D so I look for Mingo and others in the game. Their QB did better yesterday albeit against a weaker opp. Stop devine we win.

People are going to tell you that all we need to do is stop Devine. That's not true.

They have a little three midget attack of Devine, Jock Sanders and Tavon Austin. They're all under 5-10 and quick. They're going to try to dump the ball off short and let those guys pick up yards in space.

Also, Geno is probably a better runner than Relf was for MSU.

I expect them to run a lot of no huddle to keep us from rotating on D.

Defensively, I think that they may pose problems for us with the 3-3-5. It's a gimmick defense but the JJ has probably never seen anything like it before and our O-Line is going to need to be on its toes on blitz pick up, especially in passing situations.

With all that said. LSU should still win.

We have all the respect in the world for LSU in the SEC, but we wont come into TS with our tails tucked.

We are 5-1 (I think) against the SEC in the last decade including bowl wins over Eli Manning/Deuce McCallister's ole miss, beat UGA in the Sugar Bowl BCS game in 05, two regular season wins over MSU (i know, i know) and we have split with Auburn.

"their oline is small and they build up their run stats against jokes of a defense. look at their schedule, the big east is garbage. i think they may break a few good runs, but i think our dline can manhandle their oline. and by the way, yesterday, their oline was worn out with about 5 minutes left in the second quarter."

not sure where you guys are getting some of your info, yes we havent played anybody very good yet, but we havent played any BE teams yet. Also, not sure where you get that our Oline was tired in the second quarter where we scored 14 points. Oline finished very strong with a nine minute drive to run out the clock int he fourth quarter.

I think we will see Kelvin have a superstar game. He will be all over the field. The D-line will demand double teams on Nevis and company freeing up the LB's... not a good recipe for a run based offense.

Our offense will have to take advantage of the weakend secondary. Hey I can dream right?

The only game I saw of WV was the Marshall game; what was all that about?

Sorry if I don't get scared of WV because I watched that performance.

no he wouldn't, Les would be concerned for his size against big sec defenses and only run him 3-4 times per game,,,,ie t. holliday.
