HE dressed out for every game last season and was on the team. How does that constitute as a newcomer??

We have not seen him take the rock for a single down in college. And yet, he is not a newcomer?
Do we know for sure he is the answer at RB? I believe so.....but we probably have no idea because we have never seen him play.
He is a newcomer playing actual live football for the tigers? How's that?

No probably will redshirt , and Yes he is qualified. Expect to here Ego is as well in a few days

Many conferences no longer have a freshman of the year award but now call it newcomer of the year to incorpoate RS freshman. The term newcomer was specifically coined for the redshirts.

You beat me to the punch, He will so be a Newcomer because he Redshirted last year and all these so called smartasses know full well what is being implied here.
Ford will be and so will all the players that have never played a down at LSU. There is also another name to be recognized and that is the most improved player and I for one expect to see at least 5 or 6 maybe even 7 players qualify for this award. That would mean that this team is back to what we as fans expect to see out of these players.
