Popeye's chicken fingers suck. I've had 'em perhaps a half dozen times, but never again. They've been mediocre at best, and last night, during regular dinner hours, they were dry and hard. And they're not even significantly cheaper than Cane's. I'll be sticking to the bone-in chicken at Popeye's from now on, especially if they keep sending me those five piece/two sides coupons for $6.99 every other week. That is all.

In BR, yes. For some reason the cou rouge in this town complain about the Popeye's spicy strips being too hot and the franchises don't carry them.

You should've never strayed from bone-in chicken.

I know, I know. It's what I get for taking the Cane's bashers seriously. I hadn't thought about Popeye's chicken fingers in years.

I dunno about the popeyes in BR but the ones over here have awesome tenders, wayyy better seasoned than canes.

Hard to beat some hotfood express strips though.

No way Canes is better than Popeyes here in Metry. The service is much better though.

fixed, you must be going to some bad popeyes, b/c flavor is ten times better at popeyes, canes chicken has NO flavor, only thing that keeps them in business is the sauce, toast, and sweet tea, the canes business model will eventually fail in the distant future IMO

Canes is like eating fried cardboard. No flavor.

Quit telling me the sauce is awesome. (that is what most cane's apologists do)

With Popeyes, I don't need to use any damn sauce. The flavor is a million times better.

This is how I feel. I just never really got into the whole Canes thing, but good POI on the BR Popeyes being sub par.
(I hope this thread doesnt get whacked because i've given a less than stellar review of a BR dining establishment. Hopefully the popeyes owner isnt a whiney bitch)

Cane's tastes great.

Chick Fil A tastes great.

I wouldn't say one tastes better than the other.

I love those popeyes wraps with red beans and strips.

I do think the problem is that since they added those wraps, I think they cook a bunch of strips and they just sit under the lights and dry out. So it probably is easy to get a bad batch.

But a fresh Popeyes strip puts canes to shame. I just love spicy well seasoned chicken.

there's your problem right there... Everyone knows that it takes 7 times for chicken fingers to stop sucking..

It really is a bit of luck to get fresh strips at Popeyes.

Before those wraps came out, most orders were fresh. Now they make a bunch and just leave em under the hood to dry out.

But I still prefer hardened crunchy strips to Canes blandness.

Chick is the best.
Canes is bland.
I love Popeyes, but bone in is the only thing I would even consider.
