Florida State plays a MLB team pretty much every year, played the Phillies a couple times including this season. Next year will be the Yankees I believe... They do have to give up a game off the regular season schedule by NCAA rule but it is a great for recruiting and practice.
FSU had the Phillies down 6-0 in the 5th and the Phillies turned it on. FSU didn't pitch any top guys because of the series with Georgia this weekend. Phillies won 13-6
FSU used wood bats

They let the pros use aluminum. But they also hire a Coroner to be the bat boy.
The family can sign off on the autopsy while eating a hot dog.

I would LOVE to see LSU play a major League team. Esp. The Yankees.

Both teams used wood bats.

The Yankees played Grambling a few years ago at Grambling.

Yankees used to play Grambling back in the day.

I think we would have an outside shot of winning with Ranaudo pitching.

Hell, when I was a student at Texas in the mid-80's the Longhorns did this. I watched a couple of those games.
FWIW the pros really are enormously better, but both sides are just playing around so it's still fun to watch. If it were truly competitive it would be horrible.
