consider the source

Texas and the Big Ten are having "serious" talks about expansion.

Obviously lots at play here with the state having some control over all this etc.

No link, sorry.

That's going to be a bitch traveling to away games for the baseball and basketball teams.

That's not the only source floating this story.

Really not that much really. Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Purdue(half the year), Northwestern, Minnesota, are all in the Central time zone.

I think it would also be interesting what Texas does with Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

Ultimately it will never happen because Texas won't want to leave A&M and Oklahoma behind.

Texas wanted to leave them behind last time there was expansion talk, but the State kinda put the kibosh on it.

We will see what happens this time.

I want Texas or no one. no Rutgers, Pitt, none of that.

I think it would give Texas unfair exposure to the Northern recruits.

Saying that, it would be the exact same thing with Big 10 teams having exposure with Texas recruits, but I think theres a better chance a kid from up north comes to play down here, than the other way around..

I kinda want it to happen though because I think it would make the red river rivalry more intriguing. A powerhouse from the big 10 against the powerhouse from the big 12 would be must watch tv.

Texas really doesn't out of state recruit much. All they have to do is cherry pick their own state. That's all they have been doing.

The $$$'s Tejas would bring in would negate this. It would be a deal killer for any other school that far from the B10.

I'm not sure if you are serious or not. Tejas is WAY more recruit-dense than the Big 10. It would put UT at a disadvantage, albeit slight.

I think this is all bullshite anyway. I thought the expansion committee was going to work a year before approaching anybody.

When expansion happens though, I hope we keep the "Big Ten" name. Show a big to all the hater-math tards.

Texas would have to leave A&M or OU behind. I don't see them playing a Big 10 schedule and two non conference games against (potential) football powers.

Or A&M would have to go with them?
