Can you do everyone on this board a big solid and go away? You're embarrassing to the Aubbies who bring substantial discussion.

The other 100 players here want to show him the one he could have had 2 years earlier for doing the same thing - sitting on the bench!

then what do you thin is the "respectful" thing to do in this situation? visit and commit to LSU?

I don't think this kid should be allowed to visit LSU. He has made it clear he doesn't want to go there. Why should he be given the privelege of visiting if he doesn't appreciate it?

It showss High school and College coaches as well as recruits that LSU does not give up on someone they want.

Maybe but this kid has absolutely no desire to go here. He acts like he's gracing LSU with his visit.

By the time Reed visits, Malzahn will likely be gone. Might as well let things play out til the end.

He wants to be a Tiger just the wrong one. He must like living in the middle of no where because thats what Auburn has to offer. On the other hand good luck to him if he ends up at Auburn except when he plays the real Tiger.

Some people in this thread are too easily offended.

Some of you are acting like Trovon has disrespected LSU. Would you rather he lead you on?

From my perspective, he's been very honest throughout his recruitment, which is all you can ask for. It's a sign of RESPECT that he feels enough loyalty to his home state (and the team he probably grew up rooting for) to take the official visit to LSU even after he has committed somewhere else.

I am surprised that you find that we are too easily offended.

When something happens to you it is horrible - when it happens to someone else and you see it on America's Funniest , it is the joke of the century.

Whether we want Reed or not, since he is from LA , it should be our god given rights to have first dibs on him because we are LSU.

When it is the case of Marsh or Ware - they saw an opportunity for growth elsewhere (at LSU) and that is the right thing for them to do.

Why is he coming, then? I think that is pretty disrespectful. If you don't want to come here, go visit Auburn again. I don't have anything against him going to Auburn. If he thinks that is the best place for him then I want him to go there. I will have lost all respect for him, though, if he visits and still signs with AU.

so committed players shouldnt visit? Ambles?? Smitch?? Boone?? Fobb? it's just part of recruiting. Reed lives near LSU and he could take a visit any time he wants. I think the coaching staff convinced him to take a visit...maybe it'll paid off

The same reason they keep an O-Line coach who can't coach. CLUELESS!!!

ag, I think I could start a thread on the help board about how the iPhone version of TD doesn't scale images properly, and you'd somehow work a reference to how much you hate 'Stud the Dud' into the reply...

I want it to be that every High School kid in this State would want to go to LSU above any other School. I feel this is where we are loosing our identity as the flagship University by not getting every single top rated recruit in this stae. There was a time when every kid wanted to go to LSU and I would like to see it again. I know it will never happen, but I do not think it is respect to come here to your State school and rub your nose in the fact that you are going to AU and not LSU.

Go to AU for your visit but if you want to come and visit don't put out that you are not coming with an open mindset and are even considering going to LSU and that LSU does not have a chance of persuading you.

To me the very fact of you coming is you want to see just how bad LSU needs you so that you can laugh in their face and say sorry LSU I am going to AU. If that is the case then I hope that when LSU plays AU that you do not even get to see the field because you are so far down the depth chart you will look across the field ans say, boy I could have been over there and playing where they really want me not riding the bench.

I guess you are right..
Visit the home school and say, thanks but I'm not coming here. I'm all Auburn.
Again I fail to see how that is respectful...please explain genius.

LSU coaches apparently have begged Reed to visit EVEN after he has committed to AU and said he is 100% solid. In fact apparently LSU coaches have begged to the point of Reed publicly saying, "They have to respect my commitment" because obviously they were not.

So, Reed after constantly being begged to visit by LSU says, ok and will visit where he will be treated like a king, and might get some nice co-ed arse. Umm, he is a high school kid. Why would he not want to go enjoy himself on a short weekend trip when he has been begged constantly. Where is Reed at fault here?
