Anyone know where to get a good muffelata sandwich around Dallas?

First you must cross Rainbow Bridge, turn left at the Unicorn Stables, pass through the Gumdrop Forest, and then turn right onto Wishful Thinking Way.

There is a place called Big Easy in Plano (park and Alma). Used to eat there a lot when I lived there.

Let me know if you find one. I usually make my own.

When I was in Dallas, someone mentioned that she got them at Jason's Deli, I believe. I asked about the bread and was told it was very good. I didn't go there, so I can't vouch, personally. This person was from New Orleans, living in Dallas, though.

when i was living in DC i bought the bread at a jasons deli in VA and then just made my own olive salad and put meat/cheese on it. the bread is pretty good.

Jimmy's food store is decent, but i'd skip the muff and go with the italian sausage sub

I always saw this place when I lived there but never went bc I assumed it would be a disappointment. I'll be in Plano in a few days. Might check it out...

I haven't been there in four years, so I can't attest to the quality of it now, but it was definitely not a disappointment when I went.

Been to big easy but never tried the muffelata. Po Boys are ok. The Sunday brunch is really good. Only pain perdu I've ever had to come close to my Mo Mo's recipe.
