9 losses in 2 years

Close wins against Troy,MsSt.,La.Tech and the lack of having the team prepared over the last 2 years is proof that Miles is in over his head. The defense was awful in 08 and the offense was even worse in 09. The CEO does not have control of his program. He does not preach discipline and has not executed a 60 minuted gameplan all year. The Talent level will keep us in most games but that talent level will start to diminish if we keep losing games.

quote:Very well said and I totally agree. Sure, and 8 and a 9 win season don't look too horrible but if you analyze our talent and the fact that we were simply flat out lucky to win several of those games we could very well be looking at 12-14 losses over the past 2 years and that would have been more than enough to justify a change at the top. It will happen evenutually its just a matter of how long and whether or not LSU will be able to afford the ridiculous buy out and frankly whether or not we will be able to attract a top notch talented coach to clean up the mess.

Spoiled would be complaining about this record when you pay a coach 1 million a year. Complaining after getting this result when you pay 4 million a year is justified.

Those of you who cannot see the downward trend are not being realistic.
Miles first 3 years - 34-6
After losing Pellini - 17-9
The stats and the records don't lie. The losses of Jimbo and Pellini are still being felt. Miles is clearly needs great coordinators in order to be successful and right now neither coordinator at LSU is anywhere near great.

Les Miles is an average SEC coach. I say that because in the two years where his teams were led by his players, he has had a .500 record in the SEC.

miles has a boss and is accountable to that boss. in louisiana, the fans elevate winning coaches to demigod status and miles has experienced that. however, coaches that preside over what we saw this year are vilified and usually ran out of town. if he doesn't "circle the wagons" and fight for his life using all of his resources, including getting on the field and showing guys how to friggin' block, his career is getting ready to go down the crapper.

4 million a year for this CEO. Your damn right I am complaining. The fact that ticket prices and tradition funds are increasing is simply because we have to pay our CEO more because of his early successes. I do not mind paying more but I expect more. Just as we pay more for anything we expect more.
