we need to figure out a way to pick up Leach. With him and gonzales it would be a track meet out there.

His offense won't work in the SEC. You missed last year's Cotton Bowl I take it.

You are an idiot to think his offense couldn't work here.

Tech's problem resides in their inability to stop good offenses from scoring points. They don't have a problem scoring points. With the personnel at the skill positions LSU has, the only thing that needs tweaking is the athleticism and conditioning of the OL. Bigger splits and more one-on-one blocking will be implemented, and in order for the ground attack that has seemingly taken off at Tech the past two years--or at least has been better than recent history might suggest--LSU needs to focus on getting the line to adjust to it quickly. Of course, all of this is irrelevant if he doesn't come--which probably won't happen--but one can dream, right?
Anyway, Tech is doing more with less talented players on offense than a lot of teams in the country, and they've been doing it for years.
Mad Hatter, meet Mad Scientist.

Hal Mumme did ok at UK, despite the fact they are UK. ML learned from him.

He wouldn't be here more than a year.

I remember hearing the same thing about a crazy offense called the Spread run by a coach named Urban Meyer. The System will work anywhere.. the better the talent the more effective

Why is it that whoever is talked about with a different, successful offensive scheme (Leach, Peterson, Kelly, etc.), some moron always comes out and says "it will never work in the SEC". Seems to me that OUR offensive scheme isn't working too well in the SEC.

Leach is going to be very very busy over the next year in legal proceedings against TT. He doesnt have time to coach.

the 1st thing i thought when TTech fired Leach was that he would be good at LSU. I am not a big supporter of the spread, but w/ him...

If I were aTm I would get Leach on the phone right now
and get a deal done today. Then fire Sherman tomorrow.
Leach will have a HC job with the ability to stick it to
TT every year.
