Remember hearing about a new "sister network" when listening to the post-game of the Arkansas game..could be it.

I sure hope a lot of people listen, but chances are, its ratings will be non-existent, and they'll end up folding like the others have.

If it happens, enjoy it while it lasts.

Only room for one all sports channel in BR.

If this was Citadel (which I'm surprised it isn't, but they really don't have a place to put it now), I'd say this would just be the national ESPN lineup, no local stuff, very little overhead, and also no need for big ratings.

But since it's Guaranty, they seem willing to spend some money, and it's not like 104.5's ratings are sky high. (Truth is, I'm shocked this is still alternative/new rock almost 10 years later - perhaps something happens to 104.9 next?)

I'd love a new Hanagriff/Gordy show. They could do two hours a day and I think they'd get some listeners. Afternoon drive would be nice.

Only way to make money on this is remotes and local sponsors. I've heard ratings don't even show up on the books for 1210.

You don't think they could beat the ratings of the simulcast of 104.9?

I didn't know that was the current format.

I guess if they have the frequency available and they could do a low/no overhead operation they could hang around.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have some alternative programming. It's just that history isn't very friendly to all sports channels in BR.

ESPN Radio is coming either this Monday or Next Monday. Sourse (at 1210am) says Jimmy Ott is jumping ship. And will carry MNF, BCS Bowls, Playoffs, Superbowl and someone named Gordy....I live in Livingston I have no trouble picking up 104.5 out here.

Damn straight. Boy is tearing it up in Houston right now. Though, his co-host made fun of him once this week for being fat and it noticeably affected him for the rest of the show. But he'll rebound.
