Does anyone else realize we average over 4 ypc against OM?

Seriously, take out JJ's runs/sacks since his runs were pretty useless and the rest of the team had a 4.4 ypc average. This is not counting the extra yards (the 7 more after the fumble, but counting the 3 yard loss on that run).
Really, we had only 18 runs against Ole Miss. ONLY 18 RUNS! 21 if you count JJ's runs. That is ridiculous.

Play calling in and of itself is not always a choice in the sense that the game situation dictates it to a degree.
Example, if you're ahead you run more to eat up the clock.

Ummm... we were ahead pretty much all but the 4th quarter, and even then we were within one score the entire time.
It was stupid playcalling period.

27 includes 6 sacks of JJ and his scrambles that amounted to nothing. He had 1 called run for 3 yards. and another scramble for 2. His only 2 positive runs.
Again, in normal and SANE (not running an injured QB) rushing plays, we had 18 rushes for 79 yards.

I think he meant 18 runs by williams, shepard, and Ridley. I agree with what he is saying they could've ran the ball more.
JJ had 9 runs gained five lost 37 yards. sacked 4 times

Take out the onside kick and converting 4th and 26 and we still lose. Take out my uncle's penis and he's my aunt. Take out Crowton's penis and you'll be straight.

didn't you already make this point in the other thread of yours?

How many of those rushes you are counting werw scrambles by JJ out of curiosity? I am talking non-scrambles.
For the first half:
Drive 1: 2 runs + 1 scramble for -3 yards (counted as a sack)
Drive 2: 4 rushes + 1 scramble for -1 yards
Drive 3: 2 rushess + 1 crappy run by JJ for 3 yards (not his fault stupid play call)
Drive 4: 2 rushes + 1 scramble (2 yards) + a sack
So in the first half, we had 10 real rushes called + 1 stupid running call with JJ + 1 scramble.
Wow!
Second Half:
Drive 5: 1 rush + 1 sack + 1 Pass
Drive 6: 2 rushes + 3 passes
Drive 7: 1 rush + 1 sack + 5 passes
Drive 8: 1 rush (2 run didn't count because of holding penalty) + 4 passes
So in the first 3 quarters you had 15 real rushes. That is it. Pretty sad. Even if you count JJ's QB read its 16 carries that counted. Horrible.

All year we hear.....we run the ball too much, we run it too much.
Now it's "we don't run it enough".
It would be one thing if we were talking about just that last series, but we're talking about the whole game here. We didn't run the ball enough.
From the beginning of the year...
1) we run too much
2) then we pass more but we don't throw it downfield
3) then we throw it downfield, but we need Lee to do it
4) then Lee comes in and attempts some deep routes and we hear, he doesn't need to throw deep
5) then Jefferson comes back and we don't run it enough.
Did I miss anything?

Sorry Chicken, I thought this topic was more about the fact we were able to effectively run against Ole Miss, yet didn't do it. The other one was more about the last drive. If you want to axe one of them, I'll understand.
