Did anybody forget about the Iowa game? or the poor coaching in the Florida game in 2003? or the Blasksberg mess in 02? or shut out Bama put on in 02? or the embrassing loss to Ole miss in 01 for a team that we had that should have been a top 5? or a loss to UA freaking B in 2000?
Why are we quick to forgive Saban but continue to slash down Miles? Give Miles over nearly every coach in the nation. Meyer would be top of my list. Nutt would be top game planner but sucks as a recruiter. Petey would be top recruiter.

the free pass was already given to Miles when we did not when it all in '06. Too much time has gone by since katrina and he has used up his chances....the references to Saban's bad games are not relevant given the fact that Saban had to build from the ground up.....Miles had it all in place for him and continues to frick it up with mismanagement and poor decisions....on the iowa game, Saban new he was gone to Miami, he did not care about the cap one bowl

I stand by Les for the time being, but he better have one hell of a plan for how to deal with this season's meltdown regarding the offensive coaching, and I might not be in his camp if Crowton doesn't announce that he's taking a new job sometime in early December.
I've been one of Miles's biggest supporters, but sometimes he makes it hard. My support for him is conditional on him fixing the problems that he was ultimately responsible for letting occur in the first place. That's why I said a year ago that he should be fired if he didn't replace the co-coordinators on defense, and that's why I'm saying he better come up with a damn strong plan for fixing the offense this year ... if he wants to keep the support of fans like myself.
If this crap happens again next year and Crowton is still the OC, Miles should be fired in December 2010.

The HC needs to wake up, learn and improve upon his weak areas as a coach, hire new OC, OL, WR coaches, quit using lip service and actually do the promises he delivers
Agreed.

???????? Titanic reference, wow
little over emphasizing but someone has to do this, just to get some of these people to understand. this could be a bad move, not making one that is!

I dont think anyone can give him a free pass for Katrina, I do believe a lot of people could have handled that situation, they man has a losing record in the SEC for the last two years and is making 4 million a year...We all know that he is a "good man" but if were paying him based on that then I know a few more men that should be paid 4 million a year...

I am going to stand by Les.......To me, the Katrina job outweighs the Ole Miss fiasco.
Me, too, since the Ole Miss fiasco was simply an isolated incident. Up until Saturday, Miles has been a genious where coaching is concerned. Clearly his superior coaching has allowed our talent-less teams of the past five years to excel at levels no other human being in the history of mankind could have accomplished.
