New Years Bowl for LSU no matter what...

The Chic Fil A loves us, but rarely does a legit bowl want the same team.
If we split and go 9-3, we're a shoe in for Cotton and perhaps still Orlando.
If we lose out and go 8-4, again, Cotton...perhaps even Outback in Tampa strays from their eastern bias and still take us. If UGA beats GT, then maybe I see that as not happening. The Outback hasn't hosted LSU since 1989 when it was the Hall of Fame Bowl. Why would they dodge the chance if it came down to it? Still, LSU has a 90 percent chance of playing in one of the two other more prestegious bowls in the Cap One or Cotton.
Either way, with wins over UGA and Auburn and respectbale showing vs. Bama (and losing only by 10 to UF), I don't see how LSU is kept out of Florida or Dallas. The Indy Bowl is not happening. The bowl game is a business. We travel well and are a respected name in CFB in this era. I just hear a lot of people saying Chic-Fil-A and Liberty and even Indy.
It's going to be Iowa, Nebraska, or Wisconsin as our opponent. Zero percent chance we play anyone else but these three.

i think it would make a good storyline for the game if we play bo pelini and nebraska

I also think that les's 4-0 record in bowl games speaks volumes

The Pelini matchup would be great.
And yes, Lesticles in bowl games = we're going to get invited.
NO way do we not play on January 1-2.

Nebraska hasn't won the Big 12 North just yet and probably the winner of that will play in the Cotton... or Oklahoma St perhaps?

I think OSU is a lock for Holiday vs. Zona/Oregon loser.

The middle of the SEC sucks. There's no way we drop past the cotton bowl even if we lose out. The cotton bowl would still love us at 8-4.

But what's the better bowl for Ok. St. Holiday or Cotton? I would say Cotton...they definitely deserve it oven Nebraska.

But Wouldn't the Cotton rather have the Big XII runner-up? I know it's not automatic tie in or anything. Either matchup would be intriguing for LSU - esp the Miles factor. I just think OSU would want to branch out. They seem to mostly play in driving distance bowl games like Cotton and Indy. It could happen, I guess. I just know the Cotton would rather have Nebraska for the brand name over OSU.

Nah...I still think their is a slim but respectable chance of Auburn beating Bama with the home game + bye week.
