i would take les miles over meyer, based on meyer's lack of character. he is suspending spikes on half a game against vandy for eye gauging. i think les miles has more balls and raises better all around athletes then meyer does, did you see tebows pathetic ecuse for spikes action. “I don’t think that we did anything in that game that they didn’t do”-tool

Well, that makes one person on this planet. Anyone else?

Miles may have kicked our player off the team for this.

Meyer is scum. Spikes acted like an arse on the sidelines the entire LSU game, does chicken shite stuff like eye gouging on the field, etc. I hope the guy is a complete bust.

At least one more with me. I certainly wouldn't want my son playing for Urban Meyer.

Ok. We have 2. Who else would rather Miles than Meyer? I'm taking a count, and I think I'll only need one hand to do this.

Me neither, but that's only because it would mean my son chose Florida over LSU.

The Miles that gave Perrilloux 324 chances?

While I definitely see your point, it will be very interesting to see Meyer's adaptation to the game in the next few years without Tebow, Harvin, Mullen, and most likely Strong.

I take Miles over Meyer also.
Les has done a very good job with the LSU program in all respects, including player discipline. Last year's 7-5 was a one-time dip primarily due to two causes: 1) kicking Ryan Perrilloux off the team, and 2) the failed co-defensive coordinator trial.
Had Perrilloux been allowed to remain on the team, LSU would have probably finished no worse than 9-3. But at what cost in the long-term due to a lack of player discipline because of the message that would have been sent by allowing Perrilloux to remain? Miles bit the bullet and made the right decision to release Perrilloux even if it meant suffering through one disappointing season. That decision showed more courage on Miles' part than any decision to go for it on fourth down in a game.
And I agree with a previous poster. Let's see how well Meyer fares beginning next season when Tim Tebow is no longer around.

I agree with this. You can already see a difference in their offense, but I don't know if Mullen or Harvin had more to do with that.

RP wasn't the only person to be kicked off the team jackass...
And I was just joking anyway.

I think the heavy majority that pay attention to college football know that Meyer is a sketchy guy but is a big time winner.
Miles deserves respect for the way he runs a clean program but at this point IMO Meyer is clearly a better overall coach.
Winning is the first priority. Winning with class is secondary. The only schools that care more about having a "classy" coach are those that aren't winning as much as a competitor (e.g. LSU fans take on Meyer at UF of Saban at Bama).
LSU fans never had a problem with Saban when he was winning big.

But he was the only star. Spikes is a star at Florida. His punishment if he was at LSU would be just about the same.

What other "star" player at LSU during Miles' tenure has done something to deserve to be kicked off the team?
I don't buy your argument. Alley Broussard was a star running back when Miles took over and he, apparently, was not willing to do the things Miles asked of him and he wound up transferring after Miles' first year.
Miles has handled his players even-handedly in my opinion.

How can I buy your argument about Miles kicking people off the team when your example doesn't even have to do with Miles kicking someone off the team?
