NFL talent on the offense - upperclassmen only . . .

Ciron, Lafell, Scott, Williams, arguably Trindon. Definitely Richard Dickson.
Problem is that Dickson gets about 1 ball per game. He is PROVEN and will catch that 7-12 yard pass to pick up nice yardage.
I don't agree with Coach Miles philosophy of letting the older guys play while the younger guys watch, when they could probably be contributing but at least I understand that. What I don't understand is why doesn't Dickson get 5-7 balls thrown his way per game. It's an easy throw, not too risky and he'll usually make the grab. My fear is that 2-3 years from now we're going to be watching Dickson on Sunday afternoon make 3-4 catches per game and wish we had used him while we had him. Geaux Tigers!

which older guys on offense do you want to bench? Blackwell for Hitt? take Lafell out and put in Rueban Randell maybe? just curious who you had in mind when you said that.

None of those guys. My point (sorry if i wasn't clear) is that Dickson is NFL talent that we don't utilize. To me that is a much bigger coaching error that not utilizing true freshman who rivals tells us is great. (Although I would definitely like to see more of RS and RR.)

My point exactly.

Ciron might not ever start in the NFL after this seasons performance. And Trindon would honestly be putting his life at risk going to the NFL.

Why only count seniors? How about JRs since they are techinically upperclassmen?
Then you have Barksdale and Toliver. Both have definite NFL talent.
When Ciron, our supposed best OL and a potential 1st round pick can't block anyone, what can you expect from the other guys?

You're right, GeauxBob. Although JJ is having trouble getting the receivers the ball downfield, Lafell and TT are both getting their share of balls. Dickson is definitely not. Why?

Threw a lot of pics last year trying to force the ball to Dickson. Just sayin...

We always overestimate our NFL talent and then the draft rolls around and we realize how NFL ready some of these guys are.
Right now, Lafell and Ciron are the only two who get drafted at all. Ciron in the middle rounds now because of lack of production. Scott maybe in the late rounds.

I'm pretty sure you have to execute in the NFL, too.

"Since last year (or yera)" - I can think of one or two this year that he has dropped, but I don't think that he has gotten enough balls to have the dropsies.
My point is that if we have a future NFL tight end on our team, who is developed and proven, why is he not getting more balls thrown his way? Your thoughts?

Trindon will never see a NFL roster. What can he do? Return punts only when he can catch it. Chad Jones always returns the punts that will be fielded anywhere close to our endzone.
With a 53 man roster, a punt returner has to be able to play special teams on kickoffs, or WR. IMO trindon can do neither.
He will make it in track
