I bought tickets for ull outside the stadium for around $18 a ticket.
I've gotten in every game I've gone to for less then face value, except fl. in 07.
Most instances around $20.

I'll go to maybe one game a year. It has become too pricey and there is just too much traffic to go to the games. I have found that it is much cheaper and a lot more comfortable to sit on my couch and watch it. I tend to stay dryer and don't have to deal with the drunks. As far as the tailgating...I can grill in the back yard. It may not be as fun filled as tailgating at Tiger Stadium, but it is good enough for me.

Talk to Longhorn, Bama and Gator season ticket holder about cost. We don't pay NEAR the freight these folks have been paying for years. My Aggie buddy pays $4,000 per year to the 12th Man Club before he buys his tickets every year to watch that crap. It's coming people. We have just begun.

Lets hope Obama doesnt find out about this, or the government may take over all Athletic Director duties...Government run LSU games...yuck.

which is why I canceled my season tickets after the 2007 season. I usually put feelers out for the big games a week or two before the game. Was able to get florida and auburn tickets this year already.

I always get in every game for just about face.
For the Florida game I might have to pay 1.5 face. The trick is not to get antsy and buy tickets from the first hustler you see. Wait for the ticket hustlers to get antsy.

very true. toughest ticket i have seen at tiger stadium was Notre Dame in 97 and the 2003 Georgia game. I had friends that still were able to get tickets.

You could have bought one outside of the stadium last year for $20 for numerous games.
Anyway, was SO depressed that they didn't seem to care but all of a sudden my oldest (HS fr.) wants to go to a game again. Course, they'd both like to bring friends too but I drew the line.

I had south endzone upper bowl from '99 - '04, dropped them because with two youg kids we missed alot games. had 4 tickets for just over $1k. my buddy has two one section over and cost him over $900......
sed to get tickets through work, but they cut back on set themselves, only made tech in '07, and tech last year.
And i went to every game from '92 on when i started LSU, and a majority of the games wile a kid. Now i watch them from my couch.....

Here's my take. There are 2 maybe 3 games that I want to go see in Tiger Stadium every year. When Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and sometimes Ole Miss come to town, then I want to go to that game. It is cheaper for me to pay up to $200 a ticket for these games (which are not all in one season) for a total of $400-$600. That's still cheaper than paying for TAF, seat license, and the tickets. If I want to go see a game like UL-L, then there is always someone giving those tix away.

How about you hold on to my e-mail address and transfer them bad boys over to my name.
I had a conversation with Jamie Graham of TAF 2 days ago, and she said this is no longer possbile. You can pay for your tickets and sell them to someone else, or you can not renew and lose them, but you can no longer transfer them to others. She said it would mess up their Points system ( when you turn in tickets, the next guy in the TAF points line will get them). If you could just transfer them to someone else, then people would stop donating to TAF to get tickets.

And the NFL isn't?

that is in the pipeline next; the only reason the saints have sold out for years is because big business has purchased large lots and then give them away to large groups that can't afford them. this has to be happening in other parts of the country, with the financial conditions of this economy funk it's in.

Here is my $0.02 on the ticket situation:
There are alot of ticket brokers out there that are LSU season ticket holders. Not much we can do about that. Scalping is socially accepted @ LSU, whether it is legal or not. Everyone needs to realize that every ticket costs the same amount no matter where the seat is located. The TAF fees & tradition funds are what costs so much. Season ticket holders pay those fees for the privalege to sit in the same seat for every game each year. If you wanna pay out your arse to sit in the same seat for every game, be my guest. It's your money not mine. I don't really care where I sit. There are alot of different opinions on what a season ticket holder should charge when selling their tickets. Personally I think that they made the decision to pay the TAF or Tradition fund fee to sit in that exact seat for the entire season. That's not my problem. If you want to sell your tickets for more than face, that's your business. Make it fair & put them on Ebay & auction them off to the highest bidder. That's fine with me. Stub Hub really burns my arse though! That site is full of tickets for 2,3,4,even 10 times face value on some games. Ticket brokers post alot of tickets there.
The way I see it (this is a rough guess), 75% of fans want a ticket in hand before they go to the stadium. It is these folks that will always pay higher prices for tickets to any given game. The other 25% are smart enough to know that tickets to almost all games can be purchased on gameday for less than face value. These folks really aren't too picky on where they sit.
I guess in the end, it's really your personal choice. If you want to sit in the same place every game it's gonna cost you alot of money. Sitting next to random folks throughout the season doesn't really bother me @ all.

The day I have to pay 4K to even have the right to buy an ticket..
Is the day I spend that on a new 55" LED Samsung or Sony..
Or put that four dimes on Ole Miss+ vs LSU most any year.
