I doubt it'll freak any of us out. not like we've never seen tigers before... That's cool that he's coming up though, just don't let him near our mascot, heh... We have a new live mascot this year, he's only 8 months old I think and still getting trained. He actually has his own blog, scroll to the bottom to see him back in January...

Mike HATES dogs. There are signs by his cage to not bring dogs close...he goes nuts trying to get to them.

Just in time for the 1958 national championship season, Mike III was purchased from the Seattle Zoo following a "national search" by then-athletics director Jim Corbett. The student body contributed $1,500 for the purchase of the tiger. Mike III served as mascot for 18 seasons, dying after the only losing season of his reign as LSU posted a 5-6 record in 1975.
