Scuttlebutt: Raising Cane's considering new menu options
Pickin' chicken: Raising Cane's, everyone's favorite chicken finger chain, may have more on offer on the menu in the future, as they've hired an outside consulting firm to examine their business and look at opportunities for expansion. A wordy press release from Synergy Restaurant Consultants offered this tantalizing tidbit: "In addition to the Restaurant Operations Assessment, Synergy was charged with the Menu Development of several new items, designed to broaden the scope and appeal of the chain's product offerings." Translated into plain English, Cane's might just mean more than chicken someday.

That's interesting mainly because people have been saying on here that they need to diversify. I wonder what they'll serve? Burgers? Corn dogs? A new 8 piece tender box?

I believe it would always have to be chicken.....no burgers.
I've always thought they should have much the same menu as Chic a Filet....a chicken wrap, chicken on a salad, chicken salad sandwiches....etc.

I'm guessing a salad with some tenders thrown on top.

I've said this in many posts. The attraction of a one item place will grow stale and tiresome after a while. A good move if done correctly.

Whatever happened to "ONE LOVE"???????

I have never eaten at Cane's, nor do I know what they currently offer...but chicken wraps would be a nice offering if they don't do that. Also, grilled chicken would sell.

I haven't eaten there either Chicken. They serve fried chicken tenders, cole slaw, Texas toast, fries and some type of dipping sauce. Wrap's and salads with a choice of fried or grilled strips would be a fairly easy transition. Also, maybe expanding the side items.

That would probably work well.
What makes that place so profitable and easy for them to run is the lack of inventory issues they have to deal with and the ease of which it is to teach their crew how to cook/serve product.

Last time I did (maybe December?), I got sick for two days...that's it. Never again!

Maybe this means they diversify their marinade to more than just water and msg?

Maybe if we didn't have such poor attitudes about food in our society, there wouldn't be lines out to the streets at these places.
I am good for Canes about once every two or three months and that is because the place is a few hundred yards from where I work.

Apparently 26% of Americans are obese. Not overweight - obese.
That's pretty freaking scary!

Ouch, that is scary. I am sure boxes which contain deep fried chicken, toast dripping in butter, coleslaw, and fried potatoes, with a maynoise based sauce ain't helping either.

Nah, this just means that Graves is going to put a salad, maybe some chicken wings, a wrap on the menu or whatever else Zaxby's or Guthrie's offers.
