Should Jefferson be getting more reps at practice?

When the "older guy" is a true sophmore with 73 attempts and a 49% completion rate shouldn't we worry about his development before we see if Chris Garrett is gonna be great for next year's scout team?

This is a fair question, and I think the answer is "yes." Les might have promised him an opportunity to compete at least in the Spring, though. I'd imagine come fall, the top 2 will be getting almost all the reps.

Who are the older guys? JJ and JL are sophomores and RS is a freshman

Doesnt sound good for Lee or JJ. Looking for a starter, perhaps?

JJ is getting all reps with starters per Miles.

good point. this is probably a case where the promised chance to compete for a starting job that all the recruits need these days could possibly hinder your team a little.

BTW Miles takes alot of heat on this board for sticking with veteran players rather than seeing what the younger guys can do - this will give us a better idea heading into fall practice how the depth chart will go. Or it could be the biggest cluster-frick decision of all time and we'll go 8-5 again w/ a merry-go-round at QB.
Oh and just because this was hilarious.

Moments later when a linebacker apparently didn’t hear a directive correctly, Chavis stomped a foot and turned his hat sideways to make a point.

Well dont take this the wrong way but i think the writer who wrote this is full of crap. JJ is our man from M.Scarbrough and that JJ is the starter RS will run the wild tiger sparingly and JL will not see the field barring inury. JJ is taking all the 1st team snaps.

the context wasn't that the job was up for grabs because Jefferson and Lee sucked. It was that they're just giving the two frosh more reps right now to get them up to speed when they could be using the reps for Jefferson and Lee since the other two know the system a little better.

Theres no competition JJ is the man. He is taking all the 1st team snaps. Garrett and JL are prolly gettin practice with the 2nd and 3rd team.

jefferson has exactly 2 halves of good football under his belt
and they were in 2 separate games
i think jefferson will start, but "not possible" regarding lee is silly
