The officiating.....

This is one of the worst officiated games i have ever seen. I posted the other day about sec officials. It is a disgrace that the officials play such an important role in the outcome of games. It looks to me like the sec knows that other than LSU and maybe south carolina no other team has impressed anybody this year. So they are doing their best to get more than 2 teams in the NCAA tournament. It is an absolute joke that Mississippi ST has shot 3 times as many free throws as LSU. It pisses me off to no end.

It was pretty bad, but we hit bricks all day long too.

Nope. The game AT bama was way worse than this.

Not really that bad
Mississippi was just more aggressive and wanted the game more. To the aggressors go the foul calls

i usually don't complain about officiating but that shite was absolutely terrible, look at the FT disparity, Vanardo pulled Johnson to the floor by the back of his jersey and they let that shite go....

The "aggressors" should have more fouls called on them, if they are playing more aggressively, and all else is fair.
How a basketball game is officiated gets into your head as a player. If they are letting the opposing team blanket you, and you go down and do the same and have a foul called, you get totally psyched out.

The calls were pretty bad. I will say this, MSU played pretty good. But with their style of play, they have to rely on calls going their way the WHOLE game. Their losses this year probably come from a ref crew that called a NORMAL game, not one sided.

35 free throws for Miss ST to 11 for LSU. If that doesn't show a lopsided game then i don't know what else to say. It's fricking aweful

yes it is..
but that's what happens when you get hacked to pieces in the paint without earning your trip to the stripe. You're forced to try and take poor shots instead. HOW MANY times did state come out from under the LSU goal with the ball on a "turn over"? Seems like every third possession or so!

MSU shot 33.3% on 20-60 shooting
MSU shot 18% on 3-16 3pt shooting.
LSU shot 31% on 22-71 shooting
LSU shot 25% on 4-16 3pt shooting
Personal Fouls:
MSU-13
LSU-26
Free Throws:
MSU 24-35
LSU 9-13
MSU wins by Ten.

I can't get over MT driving the lane and Varnado knocking him to the floor and no foul is called and they turn right around and call a damn over the back call and the damn ball didn't even touch the rim or the backboard. That is bullshite

The rant never gets old.
To be fair to this ranter, when we beat them in 2OT AT MSU, the fouls were evenly called. Each team shot 35+ FTs. MSU lost.
