That's why it was weird that anybody gave credence to the announcement a few weeks back that the parties had agreed in principle to a deal.
There's never going to be a deal without Ukraine making territorial concessions. Zelenskyy is never going to make those concessions.

Let the war rage on, as almost all wars must. Trump tried for peace and failed.
The only question remains - how much of our money is our Govt going to spend on this war?
My guess is that we'll continue to spend money supporting Ukraine until Russia conquers all of it. THEN the USA will fund a guerilla war supporting former Ukraine factions.
