Chris Gore is having a Star Trek funeral on Film Threat. His Star Wars murder trial and funeral were great.

The only hope is Trumps FCC nixes the deal and give it to Larry Ellison and/or evokes Anti-trust breakups of these tech companies and conglomerates.

Nothing is ideal except and independent Warner Bros, but Paramount at least still value theatrical releases and isn't infested with mind virus.

If the deal goes through, then the film industry is genuinly dead.

What do you mean 'still'? He's kind of a big deal, whether folks in Hollywood will openly admit it or not.

*DVs are too chicken shite to point out where in the video TCD is wrong.

The SW case was bigger than the OJ trial.

Seriously, Chris & company put on a great forum. Well done. Expecting same for Star Trek.

Why would the FCC have any involvement. Do you know what the FCC does?

Paramount is the company that gave Trey Parker and Matt Stone a billion dollars to make jokes about Trump's small penis

Movie theatres are an outdated form of entertainment.

Home streaming is vastly more convenient

Which is a shame, albeit unavoidable.

There was (and, I would argue, still is) something to a community of varied individuals/groups coming together in a single place to enjoy a shared experience.

Seeing a great movie in a theater with a great crowd is an experience that can't be replicated at home. Unfortunately, it's pretty rare. More often than not, the experience is ruined by smart phones, face time calls, talking, gross theaters, etc.

In other words the exact thing Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders would do

This seems as good a thread as any...

Imagine a not too distant future, where nerds sitting at home are able to create entire AI movies that people enjoy and will gladly watch. The software becomes so cheap and accessible that anyone with a decent computer can create their own content. While some consumers would scoff at the notion, most would come around to it and eventually it would be as normal as the millions of content creators on YouTube or TikTok.

Think about what that would mean for the consumer. A constant stream of new Science Fiction, Fantasy, Drama, Courtroom Intrigue, etc. All tailored to a personalized algorithm.

I think we are within 5 years of a serious change for Hollywood and full length movies.
