I still don’t get the Israel thing?

From either side of the debate.
Maybe it’s because I live in a bit of a Midwest/South bubble and have very rarely interacted with many jews in my life
But it seems like to everyone, Israel is the be all end all of politics.
I really don’t have a very solid opinion on that country or jews in general. I pray they would convert and become Christians, but other than that I think they make good bagels, wear funny hats, and tend to be book smart.

I think people are tired of them influencing our politicians. People are tired of our foreign policy in general

Which I understand. I don’t understand why they take up so much oxygen and have influence. It’s never explained

It's thousands of years of complicated bullshite that is difficult to unravel.

Israel uses the US as an ATM and if you disagree you’re labeled “anti-Semitic” as if that’s some kind of insult anyone should care about. They cry out in pain as they strike others.

And that's how the media wants it. It allows them to construct whatever narrative they want for the subjects most people don't understand.
The only thing that caught me off guard with how the narrative shifted was it taking the assassination of Charlie Kirk to all of a sudden put Israel in a pretty bad light and put their political influence on blast.

Populism has taken over politics.
Populism demands unreasonable levels of discontent and relies on constant conspiracy theories to generate that discontent.
Israel is a popular villain chosen to be the star of conspiracy theories. I can't tell you why.
There are only around 15 million jews in the whole world. Texas, for example, has twice that number of people in just one state.
There are only about 9.5 million people in Israel (and 20% of those aren't even Jews).
Why someone thought claiming a country that size is capable of bullying the United States and serving as the Illuminati for the whole world is beyond me.
It's like claiming that the 3rd string, 178 lb place kicker on a football team is the hardest hitting player on the team and everyone else is afraid of him.
It's obviously stupid, but most conspiracy theories are.

They are a savvy group... but it's certain evangelicals that seriously prop it up.

The "conspiracy theory" is based on the wealth and power of jews, not their population numbers.

This makes you an antisemite

Burger, you’re right. It appears you have been in a bubble. Jewish Americans have been prominent in American culture and business for many decades. Israe and Arab conflict has affected the entire world since 1947…

The real reason is because it's the only western civilization in the middle East and is constantly under threat. People only care about Israel getting money because they are mostly hypocritical, where they don't have near the same concern of the US sending money to the numerous other countries and purely focus on there for reasons.

Great people but they are not loyal to the US, they are loyal to their people.

Praying that Jews convert is definitely
a very odd thing to do, bfrom both
a religious and historical perspective…

I don’t think that’s true. They are an ally of ours. The only democracy in the Middle East and a critical asset in an important part of the world.
Those who want to destroy this country attach Isreal in order to weakens our positions in that area. You know guys like China, Russia, Iran.
It’s pretty simple.

The jews will have the opportunity to be saved, if they dont that is on them. In the meantime, according to prophecy we need Israel for that day to come.

The Tribe-Nation of Israel and the State-Country of Israel are two completely different things.
Jesus supported Israel the Tribe-Nation, and in return they got the Romans to crucify Him for it.
