The fact Jeff Kent and Harold frickin Baines is in and Dale Murphy is not further proves the Hall has turned into a joke the last 10 years

Joke selection. Kent should be in the Hall of Good.

Not to mention Scott Rolen being in.

Before A-Rod, Bonds, and Clemens.

Also just a reminder that David Ortiz did roids too and they still let him in.

What’s killing Murph is his peak was so short, plus he was shot as an elite player at 31 when his knees went to caca but he hung around for six more years as a below average player. It’s the same with Mattingly, short peak, his back injury ruins him as an elite player but he hung around for six average years after that. I would be happy if either or both of them got in, but there are legitimate reasons why people aren’t tapping them.

Bobby Grich, Lou Whitaker and Willie Randolph belong at 2B before Kent.

The only person I really care about getting in is Dale Murphy. If they really care about people that represent MLB the right way he should’ve been in years ago. This sucks

Murph got 6 votes, he needed 12. Carlos Delgado was ahead of him with 9.

The committee voters: Hall of Famers Fergie Jenkins, Jim Kaat, Juan Marichal, Tony Pérez, Ozzie Smith, Alan Trammell and Robin Yount; MLB executives Mark Attanasio, Doug Melvin, Arte Moreno, Kim Ng, Tony Reagins and Terry Ryan; and media members/historians Steve Hirdt, Tyler Kepner and Jayson Stark.

So y’all can’t blame the media.

But Papi was chummy with the media. Arod, Bonds, Clemens, Schilling, McGwire were not. Its time to let someone other than the scorned overly-emotional sportswriters vote.

They couldn’t find any that actually played in this century?

I don’t know who Jeff Kent is because I stopped following baseball when Dale Murphy—a hero to an entire generation—kept being overlooked by HOF

All but Marichal played during Murph’s prime.

Baseball Hall of Fame has just as much credibility as the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. Which is to say, none at all.

Jeff Bagwell
Ivan Rodriguez
Mike Piazza
David Ortiz

All roided up goons and got in. Open the flood gates.

Jeff Kent? Wow. I never thought I was watching a hall of fame player when I watched him.
