President Trump expressed angry regret over his eyebrow-raising pardon of Rep. Henry Cuellar last Wednesday after the pol quickly confirmed his reelection plans as a Democrat.
Cuellar (D-Texas), 70, who sits in one of the House Democrats’ most competitive seats faced federal bribery, money laundering, and foreign-agent charges for allegedly taking $600,000 from Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil company and a Mexican bank.
“Only a short time after signing the Pardon, Congressman Henry Cuellar announced that he will be ‘running’ for Congress again, in the Great State of Texas (a State where I received the highest number of votes ever recorded!), as a Democrat,” Trump raged in a lengthy Truth Social post.
quote:
“Such a lack of LOYALTY, something that Texas Voters, and Henry’s daughters, will not like. Oh’ well, next time, no more Mr. Nice guy!”
Trump’s pardon of Cuellar, a rare, moderately pro-life Democrat, had perplexed many Republicans. Cuellar’s seat in Texas’ 28th Congressional District is rated as one of six House Democrat-held toss-up races by election handicapper Cook Political Report.

He fired the DOJ Pardon Attorney. Don't know if he replaced her.

Are we sure this wasn’t one of the patented Trump autopen pardons?
Sure looks that way…
Some staffer is getting fired!

Alice Marie Johnson (born May 30, 1955)[2] is an American criminal justice reform advocate and former federal prisoner. She was convicted in 1996 for her involvement in a Memphis cocaine trafficking organization and sentenced to life imprisonment. In June 2018, after serving 21 years in prison, she was released from the Federal Correctional Institution, Aliceville, after President Donald Trump granted her clemency, thereby commuting her sentence, effective immediately.[3][4] On February 20, 2025, Trump named her as his administration's "pardon czar".

With the sole exceptions of Ross Ulbricht & the Jan 6 people, all other pardons have been completely retarded

But it was stupid nonetheles. He should have let it go to trial at least. If not sentencing.
Let a jury decide if he was railroaded or not. And then if the sentence is out of whack or excessive he could then pardon or commute.
And IF I'm correct and this was the DOJ whispering in his ear saying that the prosecution was lawfare based on Cuellar breaking with Biden admin on immigration (like Adams) they can talk to the judge about dismissal and take the heat.

Trump has a drug dealer as his pardon czar. A drug dealer he once pardoned.
Its a clown show, no offense to actual clowns.

Trump gets a lesson about Democrat loyalty. One is never too old to learn.

Trump needs to keep these pardons in his back pocket and STFU.
It's like the Indian boy who gets bitten by the snake, and the snake says, "why are you surprised? You know it's in my nature."
